So now we've got 18 guys. I assume Walker will be bought out. Edwards will be cut. That just leaves one guy to be cut and/or bought out.

So, does this mean that Chris Richard will head to the D-League (since if Wayne Simien and Michael Doleac are kept, that would all but assure Richard doesn't play)?

And does this newfound glut of post players mean it is finally time to cut ties with Mark Madsen?

You all are a disgrace to streetball players everywhere. Toine Walker is a legend. He is the orginator of the \"Toiner,\" a move that gets your defender up in the air as you cross over to the basket. This is the cause of \"ooohhs\" and \"aaahhhhs\" everywhere everyday on the court. He is the originator of the signature in CW's posts - Evidence that he tells it like it is. In essence, three points are worth more than two, so why take two pt shots? Love it.

He should start and teach Brewer is superb skills.

P.S. The trade really is great. Although our team is becoming far too \"normal.\" All we've got left to tell stories about is Jaric and Telfailure.

As for Madsen... as the team cheerleader and major fan favorite, I highly doubt they get rid of him.

I'm happy to rid of Blount and less so Ricky, but a 2 for 3 without getting a PG really doesn't seem to make any sense.

I always said - over and over again - that if we'd make a deal before the Season starts, it would be with Miami, becuase they wanted (and needed) Ricky so badly.

And I am astonished that our management was able - and Miami was really that desperate - to dump Blount on Miami. Have always thought this would be right, but I couldn't believe it would happen.

I'm highly satisfied with the trade (feels new, doesn't it?), especially since we didn't get Jason WIlliams as well. CW is right that 'Toine and Doleac probably will be bought out, but wouldn't it be funny to now have the trigger happy Walker as a \"veteran influence\" on the team? Also interesting that most headlines have Walker as the centerpiece for the Wolves of that trade...or more: his capfriendly contract. Whatever happens to him, Simien showed some promise and still ads to our young core. Additionally, there's still the first round pick we get (hopefully not too much protected), because Miami will probably be fighting for a playoff spot in the next years.

I will also be eager to see how Ricky adapts to playing the third fiddle behind Shaq and - once he get back into action - Wade. That's usually not to his liking, albeit this is exactly the role he flourishes in. But I think Blount may really find a home playing behind Shaq (if Shaq plays).

Another word to Richard: Didn't Witt already said they'll be sendig him to the D-League? Or was he just saying they will send some players there? I can only remember that he admitted it was a fault not sending Shaddy down there last year and they will try to not make such mistakes again.

I absolutely can not stand Walker's game. He is very inconsistent, can hardly drive the lane, commits too many turnovers, whines a lot, etc etc etc...

Michael Doleac?? Ugh......
Wayne Simmien? Potential, maybe, if injuries go away magically.
The first round I will take...I guess we are in some kind of rebuilding mode..

My friends and I have always made fun of Walker...now I will have to stand watching him everytime a Wolves game is on!!!

One more thing...this further reinforces my idea of McCants being 18/5/5.

You think that if - and that's one HUGE if - Walker remained with the team, he really would get much playing time? Blount and Ricky were dealt to make room for all the young players on the team. Walker is everything, but he is not young. He obviously is no part of the Wolves plans for the future and was mainly acquired because hi contractt runs one year shorter than Blounts. Doleacs will run out next offseason...and we already have dozens of (young) players on the roster that play Walker's position.

So don't worry about him. If he really makes the team somehow, then he won't play more tan 5 to 10 mins per night, if at all.
