Yeah, I guess it was only a 5-point swing in the 4th quarter by the time Jaric and Walker checked out. The game was obviously still winnable.

I just thought that instead of staying on top of Denver and keeping control of the game, there were some mistakes there where they couldn't score. So, the momentum ended up in Denver's hands and by the time the young guys checked back in, they were trying to climb back out from below instead of keeping things rolling like they had earlier in the game. It was a lot to ask and obviously didn't happen.

If you want to blame it on something, two words Free Throws. Free thrrows are what wins n loses a game. We didnt shoot enough of them, thats why Denver won, by shooting a ton of them... We need to shoot more of them. n make um too,

How can we do that if the REFS are the ones who determine when Free Throws are given?

I count a bunch of instances where our T-Wolves were fouled and should've been at the line....but the refs didn't call it.

Yes, mistakes were made but that’s what is called “growing pains” with all the youngsters playing without KG’s safety net for the first time.

And anyway, I’m willing to give Walker some more time to get his act together with this team. He can really be an asset as long as WHITTMAN reins him in as far as his shot selection goes.

I really feel that many fans out there just don't want to give him any sort of shot whatsoever. They always go by whatever Boston fans stated and have followed the motto that \"if they say Walker sux, then I'll believe them 'cause I have no mind of my own\".

I was and still am willing to give Walker a chance. In fact, I was actually pleased with his performance for his first few trips up and down the court before he started going trigger-happy.

I also agree that the burden lies heavily on Wittman to keep him under control. That didn't happen last night.

I also wouldn't blame this one on the refs. There were a few calls that raised my eyebrows - Like when Melo completely lowered his shoulder and bulldozed Brewer and Corey got called for the foul. But the outcome of this game rests squarely on our team's shoulders.

Hmmmmm...Oh CW how you shall eat game one crow and kiss the ground McCants walks on...lol. J/k. It's one game fellas - the first game. Let's give it five to ten games to get a feel. We know Jefferson will keep putting up those numbers (hopefully better if he can get more touches). The breakdown shall come in the morning...Bellanote is calling.

Haha no doubt. One game does not a season make. Look, I'm perfectly willing to eat crow and admit I was wrong about McCants, but I'm not so sure yet. It was one game. Other than his large point total, there were a lot of things he did badly. I'm still not sold.

I wonder if we've ever seen you at Bella and not known it. Prolly... :(
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

I'm really surprised by all of the fawning over McCants on this thread. Did I watch a different game? While it's nice that he scored all those points, he also killed them in the 4th quarter, when they still had a chance to win the game, by making some absolutely terrible decisions with the ball. The entire game, I don't think he passed the ball more than 3 times. If he got the ball, it was almost a guarantee that a shot was going up, whether he was open or not, defense be damned. Not to mention some of the terrible plays on defense (that little slap on Camby on a fastbreak dunk, when he had absolutely no chance to stop the play?). He had 5 TOs, took 18 shots in 30 minutes, meanwhile Big Al, who looked like he could dominate, couldn't get anyone to pass him the ball in the 4th quarter and ended up taking only 14 shots in 38 minutes. I'm sorry, but I think Al should be taking more shots per game than McCants every night.

I completely, completely agree. I also don't understand the fawning either, driving me nuts.

Howl for you.

I'm not sure this applies to our forums.

Most of us \"regular\" posters here on the TWB forums are very knowledgeable about Walker and other players. We are all down on Antoine from last game because he played poorly and shot too many bad shots. That's why... not because of any \"preconceived opinions\" and certainly not from anything that we may or may not have read on some other blog(s).
