I posted this as my \"Must Watches\" in the NBA

www.twolvesblog.com/jeremy/minnesota-tim...-tomorrow-night.html

Besides the obvious guys like LeBron, Kobe, D-Wade, KG, etc. (and the Phoenix Suns), who do you like watching?

I commented on your main page article (which was a good read), and I'll do so again here.

I LOVE Dwight Howard. He's one of my top 5 favorite players in the NBA. I'm STOKED to watch him come to town tomorrow night, especially since it's the ol B-Day.

I also like watching the young Bobcats team. Lots of cool guys on that squad.

Of course I love watching Lebron, who doesn't?

The Celtics have been my second favorite team for a couple of years now, so I feel that I can include them on this list without being called a bandwagon fan.

I like watching YAO and T-Mac together. Loved Van Gundy, but he's gone.

Lastly, I always loved to watch Antoine Walker's mannerisms and his overall weirdness while on the court. Such great unintentional comedy. Not sure if it's a good or bad thing that he is now on our team...
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

It doesn't get much better than the verson of Baron Davis we saw in the Mavs series last season.

I agree with that. Baron Davis has some sweet offensive skills and he's still explosive around the hoop.

On a side note, he's also one of the best NBA Live players I've ever used. I used to have battles with my buddy on Live 04. Baron Davis and Steve Francis were insane. We used to dump 89-100 points on each other with Francis and Davis.

I would agree with that. T-Mac alone, when healthy, is great to watch. He's really one of the league's unstoppables.

Sam Mitchell - The drive that started on the left side of the wing and went all the way to the right ending in a falling off balance, mouth guard coming out brick.

Toine Walker - Comical

Bo Outlaw - Hysterical

Tayshaun Prince - Underrated. He's good.

Ray Ray - Plays like a painting...if that makes sense.

Sabonis - The Celtics should sign him. :woohoo:

The Pistons trainer is this old dude with a big old mustache that always wears a vest (and wristband things). My dad always notices him and gets a kick out of him. He got into it with some player during the playoffs last year, I can't remember who. He's always cheering & yells at the refs & stuff. Good times.

The Nuggets trainer is this dude with super long hair and hes really short & ripped. He had his hair in braids for awhile a few years back. And he was in the high five line with the players during the intros at TCenter last Friday night!

I CANNOT believe the Pacers are somehow 3-0. It's mindboggling.

Regardless, congrats to you guys!

There is always intriquing matchups in the NBA on any given Night. But I love to watch two superstars with the same position go head to head:

Jefferson-Howard

Nowitski-Duncan

Lebron-Melo

Nash-Parker

Garnett-Duncan etc......

During the days when I was still able to watch NBA games on a consistant basis (mental note: finish the tv-post for CW one day!!!), I really enjoyed watching the spurs. I understand they are mostly considered boring and I really dispise Ginobili's staginess and Duncan's whining, but the way they stick to their plan, execute their plays and enforce their game on every opponent they face...it is just beautiful. I know their style of play is the exact opposite of what people consider spectacular (although I think players like Parker and Ginobili can be) and that teams like the Suns and Warriors with their free flowing, high octane offence might be more attractive to the casual viewer, but the Spurs play just great, effective Basketball.

The one who is unable to at least respect this, just has not understanding of Basketball. It is also fascinating to think how a small-market franchise like this was able to build a year long contender (and three-time champion) only with solid management, consistant coaching, smart drafting and great scouting.

Besides: I really like Bruce Bowen. He is one of those guys after whom I tried to model my game...with a lot of success I might add - on a very low level, of course ;) !
