This is one team that will NOT underestimate us. We pretty much have no chance of beating them. Just hope we keep it close I guess. Would love to see the Adriana-Eva fight that mmaland predicted...

PREDICTION:

Wolves 91 - Spurs 100 and one supermodel showdown
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Adriana-Eva Cat-fight in a huge bowl of Jello....NAKED.

I'd never look at Jello the same way again if that happened. :woohoo:

Get your minds right fellas! focus on the topic at hand....

Ok nevermind. who cares about the game if those two decide to take one too many shots of 151 and perform the \"Wipe me down\" grind on Wittman at Halftime.

Wolves 97 Spurs 79

Nice talent assessment by both teams of MR. UDRIH. - 1 on the Spurs' elimination game for Popovich.

I would hate Wittman for life if he got that \"treatment\".....lol.

As far as the game goes? We'll lose.

Plus, it's the Spurs so unless Walker busts out the Shimmy to entertain us and the masses, this will be one BOOORRRRRRINGGG game.

I really want us to win. But there is a slight chance that that won't happen. But, I don't *predict* losses, so......

Did Jaric get hurt? Why only 12 minutes? :(

Also Walker had his worst game as a T-wolves player to date...

But can someone explain something to me :

Walker had a hideous +/- rating of -31.

Madsen had a +/- rating of +12, was the only one who had a positive rating, did not score, had only 3 rebounds, committed 4 personal fouls, and one turnover....

What's wrong with this picture?

Just finished watching the game. Jaric did get hurt at the end of the 1st quarter. They said he sprained his ankle, but I don't know how seriously.

I would say that this game was much better for the Wolves than the final score would indicate. It was the same story in that they played great for 3 quarters and then lost it at the end, but this time I feel like it was more due to the Spurs' incredibly high level of play versus the Wolves ineptitude. I'll give them a pass for the 4th quarter collapse because of the opponent. Not to say they didn't make mistakes (Telfair, who had been great for most of the game, had a couple of killer turnovers in the 4th quarter), but the Spurs are the defending champions for a reason. I feel like this game played out the same way every game I've seen against the Spurs over the last 7 years, with or without KG. They're just too tough defensively and have too many scoring options.

So, I would say that this game was at least a positive one for the Wolves since they did hang with the champs for quite a while. The 4th quarter aside, Telfair was solid, Brewer played great defense, Al was a monster, Craig Smith played well, and as much as I'm not a fan of Madsen, he actually was invaluable because he was able to get under Duncan's skin, drawing a technical and making him lose his cool. The only disappointment really was Walker, who was okay from 3, but couldn't get the shots to go off the dribble.

On another note, Jim Petersen was right on tonight in calling out the terrible officiating. There was a lot of flopping (Big Al got called for a foul when Jacque Vaughan ran into his back - huh?) and some atrocious no-calls , which I think took a mental toll on the Wolves as they were trying to hang on for dear life at the end of the 3rd and into the 4th. It's not the reason they ultimately lost, just disappointing that they had to deal with it.

Duncan was almost a T-Wolf back in 2003? Did I miss something?

I wouldn't look too much into \"plus/minus\" ratings for one individual game. It's not a big enough sample size. There are far too many variables in any one game which affects any one player's rating. (Who he's on the court with, who he's against, time, previous score, etc.) Too many things are beyond the control of one player when there are 10 guys on the court. Therefore, it's not even worth your time to use it as a standalone statistic. If Walker was an average of -20 and Maddog +10 (just an example) over say a 10 game stretch or something, then I would maybe worry.

Apparently I missed it too.

Was that the year Duncan was a free agent? If so, there was little to no chance that he was ever coming to Minnesota.

One last thing...

For as much as I also do hate Ginobli's flopping, he's actually a really legitimately good defender as well. Have to give props where they are due.
