It's back up! (doesn't it seem earliier than last year?)

espn.go.com/nba/lottery2010/mockdraft

As was previously mentioned the Wolves are statistically sitting with the 2nd pick, and a 19.9% chance of landing John Wall with the first.

Some other thoughts:

How nasty would the Kings be if they land the #1, pairing Wall with Tyreke!?! disgusting!

If the Nets get 1st, the Warriors 2nd, then us, I bet there could be something worked out to trade picks with the Warriors as they need a PF rather than a scoring wing...

Yikes. I keep getting the Wolves at #4.

Ughghghghg.

The Kings would be absolutely SICK with John Wall! We better pray that doesn't happen...

Thanks for posting this!
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

When I saw Wall come up for the Kings I was immediately sickened. They could have the best two guards of their generation in the same backcourt.

And then they trade Kevin Martin for a stud SF (someone like Butler/Gay/Iggy), and whoa boy... watch out. That team would be amazing.

Like the three J's were in Dallas? :)

I'm of the mind that you have to have some big-time talent in the back court AND in the front court to be championship-caliber...

Does everyone think it's going to go as ESPN predicts with

1. Wall
2. Turner
3. Favors

...?

I'm on board the draft express train...

1. Wall
2. Favors
3. Turner

I would go more with ESPN, but I think Favors is overrated. He seems like he will get push around in the NBA.

On the ESPN Lottery, I bet even though the Wolves have a 19% chance, ESPN minus 5% from the Wolves just because of our luck. I haven't gotten the Wolves to be number 1 yet...hahaha

It's like ESPN have programmed it so we don't get the #1 spot! In 10 attempts I had the Warriors (15.6%), Wizards (11.9%), 76ers (8.8%), Pacers (4.9%) and even the Clips (0.8%) come up but not the TWolves.

Whats worse is that we landed in the 4 or 5 slot six times.

There's no way we can't take Turner second. He is exactly what this team needs, and would (theoretically) be great in the Triangle.

From about 20 attempts I got #1 two times, #3 two times, #4 two times and #2 about five times. So that leaves #5 at nine times....
So much for dreaming for John Wall :S

What would be really cool though is us getting #1 and trading Jonny+Jazz pick+Bobcats pick for #2. If we get #1 we draft Wall and won't need Jonny and the picks will help us get #2. That would really rock. But it's not realistic, not because no one will do this trade but because we're the Wolves... #1 and #2 shouldn't even be considered.

Understandable logic. Question though...if Blake Griffin came out this year instead of last and there were no injury concerns with him, would you take him over Turner?

Not to be a total buzz kill, but does Flynn and the Bobcat's pick get us the #2?

That would be a great scenario, but I don't know if I see it happening...Favors and Turner have more size and quite possibly more upside than Flynn.

It might be a different story if Flynn were killing it this year, playing with a lot of freedom and dominating the ball like Jennings instead of being forced to learn the triangle.

Answer: Yes

You can't pass on a guy like Griffin, you just can't.

Unless said player is John Wall.

Evan Turner makes SO much sense for our team! Please, please, please...

Of course. You definitely HAVE to take Griffin. Just because Turner is a good fit for us, doesn't mean he's better or more valuable than Griffin.

It's the same as John Wall... would we pass on him because someone like Turner fits our team better? No.

You can always make trades after drafting players.
