Judging from what I saw from the Hawks and Suns game(where we might have found an effective starting lineup)....

I think the Rotation should be as follows :

PG Foye/Jaric/Telfair
SG Telfair/McCants/Jaric
SF Brewer/Toine(at certain times)
PF Big Al/Toine
C Cookie Monster/Richard/Big Al

That's my rotation. I truly feel that Bassy would be at home at SG offensively, plus he can let the offense come to him without having to think about playing PG.

Foye....no explanation required. ;)

Brewer is the new Rodman(without the wacky-ness)

Big Al is Big-Time.

Cookie Monster hates Rhinos

And of course....

WHO ELSE?

By the way, Theo is not on the rotation 'cause I don't think he'll EVER be healthy to play.

With the way the Jaric/Telfair combo has played out, and considering that Foye is probably not a true PG and was being forced to fill that role, I would go with...

PG: Jaric/Telfair
SG: Foye/McCants
SF: Brewer/Gomes/Toine
PF: Smith/Toine/Jefferson
C: Jefferson/whoever...

That being said, what are the odds that Jaric keeps this up? 20%? 30%? I say we get some team on the phone and dump that contract while the dumping is good! Cap space baby!

As for our rotation, I don't think Foye will be completely ready for big time minutes for a while yet. However, I think you meant when everyone is back and healthy. Here's my ideal rotation.

PG: Jaric/Telfair
SG: Foye/McCants/Telfair
SF: Brewer/Gomes/Toine
PF: Smith/Jefferson/Toine/Richard
C: Jefferson/Richard/Madsen

Inactive: GG, Theo, Buckner?

- I don't think Theo will play much, if at all, the rest of the year.

- I agree with Derok that I'd trade Marko if we could get back an expiring contract, or a young cheap player with potential. I like what he's done this year, but he's still overpaid and after we draft Derrick Rose we won't have as much of a need for him. Plus, let him go play for a contender under the bright lights... it's what he's always wanted.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

It's ok... we probably won't resign him anyways. Sigh. :(

You really think so? I think he's worth keeping around on the cheap. Can't imagine teams will be beating down his door, so we might be able to lock him into a small deal.

I definitely think he's worth keeping around (even if I didn't have a massive mancrush.) I'm just not sure if our \"braintrust\" thinks the same. Also, we've got a large roster and many draft picks coming. If any other team even offers him half the MLE, I don't think we'll match. And there definitely will be teams that give him offers... and my guess is for much more than half of the MLE. So yeah, I don't think we'll have a chance to keep him \"on the cheap.\" Sigh. :(

The Daddy has really no changes to CW's lineup. I am actually starting to believe Telfailure can be a starting PG in the league. He's not Kidd, The Glove, Nash, or CP3, but I'm not sure it's out of his ability and confidence now to average close to 15 and 6. Maybe I'm optimistic, but oh well. Because of that, maybe trading Jaric while he's streaking for another big would be ideal. I'm sure he wants to get the h*ll out of here and there are some teams who could use him.

BTW - The Toine Wiggle picture is the sole reason why we should NEVER trade Toine. In the heat of the moment the wiggle WILL return in full form.

Agreed. I can't wait to see it in person. He better bust it out during a home game...

Marko Jaric:

\"This is the best basketball ball I have played since I have been here. Hopefully we are going to continue winning and hopefully I will stay here.\"

Why is it that since Marko started playing so well talk has been that maybe now we could trade him and get out of his poor contract.

My question is for what? What will we do with the $ we save gwtting rid of Jaric? Who will we sign to replace him? Are we looking for superstars to sign or youngs to develop? If we get a good young with potential, it's only a crap shoot that he will develop into someone as valuable as Marko is now. Marko is young enough and can earn his pay if he continues to play this way. My question is what is the upside to getting rid of him?

We probably wouldn't sign anyone to replace him. However, we could resign Telfair (I'd be down with that, plus he's still very young) and we've got plenty other young guys that could use the playing time. Also, we should have a top 5 draft pick at the worst this year, which would preferrably be a point guard.

We've still got some guys with options at the end of this season, or contracts that will expire: Telfair, Gerald Green, Gomes, and Craig Smith. It would be nice to have some room under the luxury tax to resign some of those guys.

Lastly, you never know what or who could become available. It would just be nice to have as much financial flexibility as possible.

Jaric is playing like a valuable player RIGHT NOW. The question is how long he will actually keep this up. I think we're seeing his numbers increase because our injury situation is giving him increased playing time. He's been able to get himself into a groove and isn't constantly trying to \"prove\" himself everytime he's out there to get more minutes next game. When people return from injury, or if we add, say, Derrick Rose to this team next season, his minutes are going to drop, and his stats may do the same.

Point is, two months ago, Marko was the biggest dead weight contract we had and was virtually unmovable. Now we have a chance to do some maneuvering to help our finacial situation. I think we should make a move and not risk Marko coming back down to earth if this is a temporary situation. Worse case, he keeps this up and we lose him, but improve our cap number. That's not the worst thing in the world.

SOMEBODY on this team is going to put up numbers. You're not going to see a 103-37 NBA game. Marko may be shining because of how bad our team is doing. I don't see him putting up those stats on the Spurs.

I say that we finally have a chance to get rid of that awful contract, and we should certainly take it while the taking is good.
