Anyone have any predictions regarding the big Free Agents?

I still think there is as good a chance of LeBron going to New York as anywhere.

I HOPE Paul Pierce doesn't go anywhere. Unless the C's can resign both him and Ray or pull some sort of sign & trade, they could be in trouble next year (comparatively speaking).

I don't think Dirk staying in Dallas is as guaranteed as everyone thinks.

Will any teams (besides the Wolves) end up with NOTHING? I mean who is going to the Clips & Nets?

Lebron and Amare to New York.

Bosh and Joe Johnson to New Jersey.

Wade and Boozer to Miami.

Dirk staying.

David Lee and Rudy Gay to Chicago.

Cleveland crying.
Atlanta crying.
Wolves trade Big Al for something.
Clippers wondering why players wouldn't sign with them.

LeBron to the BULLS like I predicted two weeks ago!!! And Bosh! SUPERTEAM!!! 82-0

Although, I could see LeBron going just about anywhere (except the Wolves) to be honest. He is more about "other stuff" than purely winning. True story.

The Celtics might lose Allen but not PP. He is just getting a longer deal for more total money (but less than $21 million per year) before the new CBA takes effect.
Regardless, the Celtics won't be making the Finals again anytime soon. (But how awesome of a deal did they get last year on Rondo's contract of 5 years for $55 million! WOW!)

Dirk with LeBron would be studly. Good backup plan if Bosh doesn't team with LeBron. Dirk can stretch the floor for LeBron.

No one will go to the Wizards or Wolves. Maybe the Nyets and Clippers steal a second tier "star", but that's about it.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Bosh - Miami
Wade - Miami

Sounds like a done deal

Adding LeBron to that team would be cosmically unnatural. 3 guys and everyone else making the minimum seems like you are looking up in a storm waiting to be hit with lightening.

LeBron - Chicago, LeBron doesn't want to be remembered as part of LeBron/Wade/Bosh at the last minute. The heir to Jordan's thrown has a touch more cache.
Gay - Miami (seems like a joiner)
Amare - takes less money to go to Chicago

David Lee - Suns - I have no idea where to put these last two, but Suns are in win now so they make sense for Lee or Boozer.

Boozer - Knicks - NY fresh off being left at the alter they take Boozer because they have to do something. Boozer has no shame so he is the one guy who would dare show his face before the suicidal NYK fans.

Joe Johnson - Nets - Doesn't seem like NYK guy without his buddies.

Boy now that I'm reading about the Nets going for LeBron but having a Gay/Amare backup plan it seems like everyone has a shot at one of these guys but the Wolves and probably the Clippers.

Odd that it'd be those two teams. They don't have the most incompetent track record or anything.

Richard Jefferson opted out. What is his agent smoking. He'll get a 3 years $15M deal instead of 1 years $15M.

He was set to make 15Milly next year and he opted out?!?! Does he really think someone will sign him for more than that, no matter how many years?! WOWOWOWOW.

I still say Lebron to New York. Who says winning is the most important thing to him? Has he ever said that? I don't neccesarily get that impression. AND I bet he thinks he can build it wherever he goes, especially if he can get them to sign a Bosh/Amare/Dirk too (the guy won the most games in the NBA the last 2 years with Mo Will as his 2nd banana, come on). AND he is all about being global/rich/famous, etc. I still think in his mind NY is as enticing as anywhere.

Sounds like Dirk is flying to Dallas tonight so he's probably staying.

Now with Doc back I would guess the C's do everything possible to bring back PP & Ray, but it may not be easy...Danny Ainge doesn't like to overpay or extend too long contracts, and I could see Ray Ray scoffing at a 1 or 2 year deal from the C's if he can get a lengthier, more lucrative deal elsewhere. After all, it's most likely his last deal.

LeBron - Chicago. There's enough of a core around him to support him even without a free agent friend. Plus, he's obsessed with Jordan.

Wade - Miami

Boozer - Miami

Joe Johnson - New York

Amare - Nets/NY - He has the higest MAX contract of the youngsters. If Nets offer him the full tilt, he's there. Otherwise, he's in NY.

Bosh - He's gonna sign and trade, I bet. If Chicago moves Deng, it would make sense. That's my bet.

Nowitzki - Dallas. He won't bail on Cuban

Pierce - Boston most likely, although I wouldn't be shocked to see one of the sweepstakes losers like the Nets or Clippers throw a big contract at him that Boston won't match

Ray - Tough call. If LBJ and Bosh are in Chicago, it's gonna be tough on him to pass that up. I'm calling Chicago.

David Lee - If Kahn is desperate and dumb, look out! Nets, maybe? He's the hardest one of the bunch since he's the consolation prize.

Gay - I say the Clips get him. It's gotta be a sign and trade and they have the assets (our own pick, the horror!) to outbid us.

So at the end of the day...

Chicago - LBJ, Bosh, Ray
NY - Joe Johnson, Amare
Miami - Wade, Boozer
NJ - David Lee
Clips - Gay
Dallas- Dirk
Boston - Pierce
Minnesota - DARKO MILICIC BABY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And the Wizards...

... only because the Wizards traded for Hinrich and Yiiiiii, which killed most of their cap space. BWAHAHAHAHAHA!?!?!?!

I really agree with this.

HOWEVER, if it goes down like that, then I could see Gay going to Miami without a S&T for the leftovers after Wade/Boozer. I could see the Clippers getting nobody.

In case anyone missed it, Atlanta is going to give Joe Johnson a six year max deal. Ouch.

Maybe its for a Sign and Trade though, we don't know yet. Hawks fans better hope so.
