From Rick Alonzo/Pioneer Press:
Wolves forward Al Jefferson had 10 offensive rebounds Wednesday night during a 105-101 loss at Golden State. That tied for the second-most offensive rebounds in a game in team history. Kevin Garnett and Felton Spencer each had a game with 11. Jefferson began Thursday ranked second in the NBA in average offensive rebounds per game with 4.1.

KG is currently sharing an offense rebounding team record with Felton Spencer?!!?!? I think we need the NBA to review the game tape... there must be some mistake.

If come to find out that Luc Longley has some obscure mark like most all time rebounds by a Timberwolf on February 29th I'm going to be very displeased.

I can't believe Big Al is second in the L with 4.1 offensive boards! That's impressive!

It really shows how hard he is working each game. Even on off shooting nights Big Al has the wolves playing respectably (as much as he can).

This team may end up with one of the worst all time records but they sure as hell aren't a worse team than those in the J.R. Rider and Christian Laettner days.

Big Al is going to be a force in this league.

I was thinking this morning about who the next generation of superstar big men will be. Back when KG was a youngster you still had Malone, Barkley, Robinson, Shaq. Who's going to take the reins when Duncan and KG retire or get past their primes?

Dwight Howard obviously, after that Chris Bosh? Big Al has to be named in the top 3-5 guys. It's going to take some rebuilding and also a few years for the Spurs/Mavs/Suns power struggle at the top to break up, but we can definitely get back there. We have one of the best pieces to build around.

Yeah Derok, I agree with you.

Also, I can't believe that Big Al is second... wow. Good for him. You can tell he has a knack for it just by watching him.

Here's my top young Bigs of the future: (Not in any order)

Howard
Bynum
Amare
Boozer
Big Al
Bosh
Kaman
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Are we deliberately excluding Yao from this list? He's still young...
Emeka seems like a Zo Mourning in training. He's a defensive/rebounding stalwart. He may never average more than 15 pts a game, but I think he'll still be elite. I'd love to have him down low next to Ol' Skool. My sleeper is David West. He won't be as good as most of the above, but I wouldn't be surprised if he started putting up 20 and 10 consistently.

The only reason I didnt put YAO is because he's 27. I thought he *might* be a little old to be considered a star of the future or whatever.

Also, I do agree with Emeka and David West, but I was trying to keep my list somewhat exclusive. But yeah, I really like David West. I've been trying to trade for him in fantasy bball for weeks. If Okafur can stay healthy, he should probably be on the list too I guess.
