Desde los otros dias eataba por comentar esto... no me gusta nada la combinacion Bareilla con Shaved... el Shaved una vez recibe la bola del Bareilla, JAMAS se la devuelve y lo que hace es o forzar una jugada para el o pasarsela a cualquier otro jugador que NO se llame Bareilla... habra alguna envidia envuelta...???

1-Rubio Regresa,

5- Rumores sobre Trade de Barea= Que podrian incrementarse con la llegada de Ricky, pues Ridnour parece que ya no esta en venta por ahora.

Trade ideas for contenders

ESPN Insider’s Joe Kaiser released his ideas for some trades that contender and borderline contender squads. One of them, naturally, being the Minnesota Timberwolves, struck my curiosity.

Minnesota Timberwolves acquire: Marcus Thornton, Isaiah Thomas
Sacramento Kings acquire: Derrick Williams, Jose Juan Barea

Why it works for Minnesota: Injuries to Brandon Roy and Chase Budinger have the Wolves heavily relying on guys such as Luke Ridnour, Alexey Shved and Malcolm Lee in the backcourt, at least until Ricky Rubio returns. That doesn’t exactly sound like a playoff team, now does it? Adding Thornton, who is one of the best-kept secrets in the NBA and averaged 18.7 ppg as a full-time starter last season, would immediately give the team a guy in the backcourt who can flat-out score. And he’s signed for two seasons beyond this one. Thomas, seemingly in the doghouse with Keith Smart in Sacto after a stellar rookie season, would replace Barea and provide point guard depth with Ridnour until Rubio is healthy.

Why it works for Sacramento: With Cousins, Thomas Robinson and Jason Thompson manning the center and power forward spots, perimeter-oriented Williams could thrive in his more natural role as a small forward on the Kings. The No. 2 pick of the 2011 draft already seems to have one foot out the door in his Wolves career and could use a new start. Barea, signed through 2014-15, would replace Thomas and give the Kings another short point guard alongside Aaron Brooks.

The deal, I feel, certainly sways in the favor of the Timberwolves. But if you examine closely, the Kings gain in what they lose. Tyreke Evans is slowly but surely regaining confidence in his game yet again, so he seems like he could stay with Sacramento long-term. It’s only an assumption but they’d be hardpressed to not at least entertain that option. By shipping off Thornton to the Wolves, they make more room to resign Evans. And, as Kaiser put it, Williams is in need of a change of scenary, and his perimeter-oriented game would work in Sacramento with Cousins, Thompson and Robinson clogging up the middle (I guess we haven’t seen that here but a change would do Williams some good, I believe.) And then the swap of Thomas for Barea is straightforward but, as Kaiser says, Thomas is currently in the doghouse with little wiggle room to get out. They have a deep backcourt and his demotion comes as no surprise. Barea is a more cerebral player that coach Smart would certainly celebrate having.

For the Wolves, well, it’s an obvious upgrade at the two-guard. The only problem with bringing in a bonafide starter at that spot means that Alexey Shved’s development and minutes will likely see a decrease. The Wolves do indeed need to add some kind of depth at that spot but the player needs to be the right kind of guy — someone who doesn’t need a lot of minutes OR shots to make a difference on the court. That’s never an easy find, and I can say with certainty that Thornton is NOT that guy. I’d still be thrilled to see him in Minnesota yet it frightens me to think of the effect he could have on Shved. As for losing Barea for Thomas, I’m pretty mum. Thomas is more reactive than Barea but he still can hit threes just as efficiently, which is all the Wolves need from the backup point.

Minnesota trades Derrick Williams, Nikola Pekovic, and J.J. Barea to the Atlanta Hawks and Luke Ridnour to the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Los Angeles Lakers trade Pau Gasol to Minnesota.

The Atlanta Hawks trade Josh Smith and Kyle Korver to the Lakers and Jeff Teague to Minnesota.

In my opinion, this is the most realistic Pau Gasol trade that has been suggested in the vast and unregulated land of internet trade proposals. Please note that I do not think the Wolves need Pau Gasol, nor that they need to trade Nikola Pekovic. It cannot be ignored, however, that the Lakers have foolishly allowed Gasol trade rumors to fester for the better part of a year and a half, and where there is smoke, there is almost always fire. For a Minnesota sports reference, ask Twins fans about the Span-to-the-Nationals rumors that have persisted since the summer of 2011. That trade finally happened during this past week.

If Pekovic is traded, the Wolves must make a clear improvement to the team. This may seem obvious, but the Wolves should be legitimate contenders this year. If they trade the third or fourth best player on the roster, they need to be sure the team is really improving. Pau Gasol is a better player than Nikola Pekovic, but he is also much older, having turned 32 years old over the summer. He is under contract and owed approximately $19 million dollars again next season. He is also the perfect complement to Kevin Love in Rick Adelman’s gorgeous corner offense. The Gasol-Love tandem would be, in many ways, a throwback to the Vlade Divac-Chris Webber days on Adelman’s Kings teams of the early 00’s. Let’s just say…that would be a good thing.

The Wolves don’t have a ton of movable contracts, so J.J. Barea and Luke Ridnour would both find themselves as casualties of this trade. Jeff Teague is better than both of him, and would be the best back-up point guard in the league behind Rubio. He has never played off the ball in Atlanta, but Adelman would surely pair Rubio and Teague in the backcourt often, especially if Roy and Budinger are not available.

The Lakers will eventually trade Pau Gasol, even if they shouldn’t. The return of Josh Smith on an expiring contract, sharpshooter Kyle Korver on an expiring contract, and a more-than-capable backup point guard (read: better than Steve Blake) in Luke Ridnour is about as good as they’ll be able to do. And it’s a good haul, to be sure. They would likely receive a draft pick from someone, potentially their own 2014 second-round pick back from the Timberwolves that was received via the Suns in the Wes Johnson trade.

For the Hawks, this trade would be contingent on their confidence in completing a contract extension with Pekovic. This would be a great return for the overrated Josh Smith, and would allow Al Horford to return full-time to his natural power forward position. The Hawks would remain thin at the wing positions, but Derrick Williams would likely get starters’ minutes between playing small forward and backing up Horford at power forward. A backcourt rotation of Devin Harris, J.J. Barea, and Louis Williams would likely be enough to get this team to the playoffs in the weak Western Conference, and the Hawks would still be set up with amply cap space moving forward.

... pienso que quiero ver jugar al Bareilla con cualquier "kouch" que le permita jugar el estilo de juego del Bareilla... su estilo natural fue la diferencia hace dos postemporadas cuando el fue pieza clave en el Campeonato de los Maverricos... mientras cualquier "kouch" le limite o modifique su juego, el Bareilla no podra ser el "spark plug" que todos conocemos...!

De a eso a que los Wolves salgan de Pek. Dime tu crees que harian eso? NO CREO, Ahora tengo que reconocer que de cualquier malla sale un raton y la gerencia de los Wolves para poder compensar la llegada de Paul en cuanto a $$$ lo haga aunque sea un error gravisimo.

Mira yo pienso que Paul Gasol o mejor dicho los Lakers estan cuajando con los Wolves desde hace tiempo ese traspaso ademas que quieren (Lakers) que sea con Minnesota y no con otro equipo que le de la vuelta y los ponga en peligro hacia la ruta de la final. Osease se lo doy al menos "peligroso" y no me dolera para los playoff.
Lo que ha pasado con ese Trade es que no ha habido algo atractivo que se pueda dar y ellos no daran a Gasol por miseria(Entiendase Williams).

Asi que la cosa esta fea para que suceda solo por un PG(Barea) pues tienen a Blake que aunque no es nada del otro mundo les hace su trabajo.

Ridnour = Lo dije y lo repito. Ya no esta en el mercado asi que es mas probable Barea que valla en cambio a otro equipo que el Blanquito sin Heart.

Por ultimo. Estoy bien convencido de que Paul Gasol llegara a los Wolves y acompañara a su hijo Rubio. La pregunta es como se lograra?

No digo que esos 6 se van. Que quede claro. Lo que digo es, que son las fichas de cambio que tienen Los Wolves para que llegue de alguna forma Gasol y su monton de millones sin pagar.

Entonces, quedaran tambien las preguntas. Se arriesgaran Los Wolves y trataran de complacer a K-Love este año moviendo las fichas para asi llegar a los playoff? ó Se mantendran con perfil bajo con cambios minimos y esperaran para el proximo año?.
