WallyWorld has set the tone with his latest post. Let's all begin the "trade D-Charge" campaign now while his value is high. Enough potential. How about a little production from now on?

D-Will for Gortat and Dudley.

D-Will, Wes, and Ridnour for Wes Matthews and Batum (if this is unrealistic, then CW-the-Batum-Champion, make it better for Portland).

What else?

Clearly, D-Charge won't excel here with Love (and Beasley, but more importantly Love). If you've watched him play he's bigger than Love, slow as Love, and more closely resembles David West than Carmelo Anthony (not that he plays like those two). I think he'll be good but a frontcourt of him and Love won't win...and Love is clearly better.

As I responded to WW, I couldn't agree more with you guys. Trade D-Charge now. Even better if we can dump Wes too.

No way Phoenix gives up those two for him. Maybe if we include Wes and something else. Maybe then but I wouldn't bank on it. I'd like that deal a ton though.

I'd LOOOOOVE the Portland trade, but it's totally unrealistic. Wes has zero trade value. I don't know if they'd even give us 1 of those guys for our 3 players, let alone both. If we could somehow get both of them, I'd give anything on our team except Love and Rubio. Portland (and their fans) love both guys unrealistically too much, unfortunately. If I had a choice, probably go for Matthews since he's a SG that bombs three pointers. He'd help us out soooo much. I love Batum of course, but probably a bit irrationally (like with J-Smoove.)

Any other deals... I dunno, something that gets us a SG? I'd trade D-Charge plus whatever else it takes for someone like Iggy/Monta/Harden/Kevin Martin/etc. But we've all been over those trades a billion times already.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Yup, yup, yup. Any of these players. I figure Dudley is the new age Shane Battier, but not really all that talented, I could be wrong. Gortat for Williams has got to be realistic, no? Gortat isn't getting much better, he's just a physical, good center.

D-Charge for Matthews creates an even bigger logjam because Batum shouldn't be chasing little 2-guards all the time. So we have to create a super awesome 3 way trade that nets them Camby's replacement.

Gortat to Portlant, D-Charge to PHO, Matthews to MN.

I like it. I think it's realistic, as D-Charge for Gortat is pretty fair.

If we could get Matthews for D-Charge... hell yes please.

Good work Daddy. I say you knock off the rest of the day and kick back with a few.

D-Will kind of reminds me of a shorter, bulkier Amare, but not as skilled and with no shotblocking ability. So yea, I guess he's not like Amare at all.

Williams for Gortat and Dudley? Is this sarcasm or what daddy?

Love can play C and Williams PF. It's worth to at least try it before suggest trading our #2 pick player who played just 3 games in the NBA.

Love definitely can't play center. He's 6 feet and 7 or 8 inches. He can't even guard most PF's. How is he going to play Center? We will lose so many games if they try that.

Love is 6-10. Where did you read he is 6-7?
I'm telling that we should give Williams some games before we trade him for some average players. What was the point with selecting him #2 then?

Isn't Derrick Williams 6'8"? He's the same height, or maybe even taller, than K-Lav.

Also... the bolded part above was the same thing I've been talking about for the past six months!!! :silly: :(

I believe the saying is, "Y'all are tripping."

While Williams has been underwhelming in his first 2 games as a pro, seriously?

You guys are going to write him off based on 2 games, one of which was on the road with Terry Porter coaching? Porter seems like a good assistant, but hardly successful as a head coach in the pros.

Look, we all know he's not a perfect fit with our current personnel. I'm not even that opposed to the Gortat/Dudley trade (Gortat is one of the more underrated centers, because he's big, decent and doesn't hurt you). That said, we seriously have no idea how he will be this season.

We don't even know how good Wes will be this season. Give the AdelMAN a few weeks with the team first, at least. The guy is pretty much stepping in midseason, what with the shortened schedule and compact preseason.

Simma. Down. Now.

Nope, nothing to do with these three games. I don't imagine this type of trade would even get made until closer to the deadline. After watching his body movement (not his scoring or actual play, just body movement), it's clear that he D-Charge is NOT EVEN CLOSE to guarding wing players and is maybe less equipped to guard bigs than Love, but in the long run surely just as competent there. Point is, and has been since he was drafted, him and Love won't be a winning frontcourt.

I sure hope he starts hooping his a$$ off with Love. That's great. Good luck to Adelman when this team makes it to the playoffs. "Hey Ricky, when Westbrook blows by you, don't worry, you've got Love and Williams behind you, the Twin Towers of defense to back you up."

Amen!

I knew even after this close defeat, I would get on here an there would be someone crying for someone's head on a pike.

I hope you folks don't give up on your kids or friends as fast as you gave up this season.

See you all next year!

You both completely miss the point. I don't doubt Williams will be a fine player. He's like a mix between Amare and Boris Diaw...Borick Willamire.

So trade him for a player that can help the team. You need pieces to complement each other, that's all. He CAN play with Love, sure. And the Wolves will win some good games this year that way, enough so that you'll say, "told ya so." But they won't be contenders with those two in the front court.

Yeah, I'm with Daddy here. We aren't saying D-Charge is worthless. He is just a HORRIBLE FIT for OUR team. And he's never gonna play with K-Lav getting 40 minutes per game. How is he ever gonna improve or assert himself? We need to trade him for a SG yesterday. Better yet, we should have traded the pick before even drafting him. There's no way we will ever contend if we keep both D-Charge and K-Lav. It just won't happen.

Sorry to disappoint the eternal optimists. :(
