Some of my thoughts from the game last night which I attended, sorry if some are repeats of what others said:

- Our defense is immensely better than last year, and it's not even close. I couldn't tell you how many times I banged my head on the wall seeing the opposing team hit a 3 pointer every time down the court last year.

-It's all about confidence for wes (duh). Let me clarify: if his first few shots go in, he is a completely different player. He still has great athleticism which helps on defense and rebounding, but if he starts missing shots, he cannot do ANYTHING offensively.

- Fans sure do love Rubio, huh? I thought it was big but never did I expect that, chanting rubio at random sometimes. I wonder how long the love affair will last (pun intended).

- We are the best team in the league. At turning the ball over. EGADS, some of our passes are just completely forced, in double coverage. WTH.

- We need JJ Barea back soon (and Martell webster for that matter). Both will astronomically help our 2-guard problem (but not completely solve it).

-Kevin Love was complaining with the refs. A LOT. I don't like that from our star player. Maybe that's an effect of so much losing in the past? Either way, it's gotta stop. We basically played 4 on 5 in one possession while he was still crying on the ground on the other end.

- The only way D-will is going to improve is if he gets more extended minutes, not just short bursts of playing time. I say we substitute AR's minutes for his and slide love/tolliver to the center spot along with Darko, since Adelman insists on playing derrick at the 4.

-Darko was fine, good D. Pretty much good individual defense from everybody, for the most part (can't believe I'm saying that after last year). Their height caused problems for us though, as they had a lot of offensive rebounds.

-Let's see if we can avoid a letdown and take the next one against cleveland. I'll be there for that one as well!

Hmmm...in addition to confidence, Wes also lacks skill. He can't dribble or make decisions.

Kevin Love is close to pissing me off Dwight Howard style with his bytching. When you are a beast down low, unfortunately the refs just don't get it all. Love needs to run back on D and quick crying.

From Shooter:

Timberwolf Wes Johnson on how he found his shooting touch: "Confidence. Just told myself I'm a good shooter."

Yea Love has really taken complaining to the refs to a Dwight Howard/Tim Duncan level this season. The part that pisses me off is when he does it while play is still going on.

Now that's just silly. This article is the type of narrow sighted moronic journalism that pervades not only sports but the media in general.

Kevin Garnett would be winning the Citizenship award every year if it were not for the award committee's desire to spread it around. What's more important, being nice to Charlie Villanueva or maintaining a commitment to Katrina victims over the years? He's a "much better person" than KG? For real? We have NO idea about that. What we do know is that KG is an a-hole on the court. Off it, he's easily one of the most philanthropic celebrities.

As far as comparing stats, that's fine. I think I'm coming around to Love being at least top 3 among PF's (maybe the best). But the crop today is not Duncan, KG, Webber, Rasheed Wallace, etc. His comp is Bosh, Josh Smith, Aldridge, etc. That's a HUGE difference. Obviously he's not reached the level of KG, Duncan, Barkley, or Malone yet, for example. But he might be able to do that. I hope so.

Grant Hill has won that award 3 times. No other player has won it more than once. At least that's what the commentary on 2k12 says.

Shooter is known for being a complete moron. Didn't he used to play for the Twins?
