Wolves lose.

-Love played like C-R-A-P. He was killing us out there. Hanging his head and not playing with any effort and moping around crying to the refs. Honestly he looked like Beasley on a bad night but worse. Amir Johnson punked his ass so bad. I'm seriously worried this will start a trend of teams playing super physical against Love and it mentally take him out the game when he's not getting calls from the refs. 3-16 shooting and 5-10 from the line.

-Tought night for Rubio. Probably his worst game so far.

-I think we have officially reached the point where Tolliver is playing more minutes that he should. 20 mpg sounds about right. He was terrible the entire game.

-Bargnani is much improved and a pain in the ass to match up with.

-Barea was awesome while the rest of the team dropped a giant deuce on the court.

-Adelman's rotations are confusing the hell out of me. Whenever someone is playing well he pulls them from the game? Then puts in terrible players in the 4th quarter? It is Rambis-esque.

-How much longer can they keep starting Ridnour/Wes/Ellington??? Holy god it's so painful to watch. We'll be handing over a top 5 pick to the Hornets if this keeps up. MAKE A FUCKING TRADE ALREADY.

Next season the Raptors are going to be one of the better young teams in the league when Valanciunas comes over and they add another top 10 pick. As early as half a year ago there future looked very dire.

Man, how trippy is the baseline image on the Raptors court?
No doubt. I had no idea what the heck was going on with that lol.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

I'm just going to put this out there... 2nd game of a back to back to back and you're in fricking Canada. Can't help.

33% shooting. Yuck. I didn't see the game but the boxscore couldn't be this bad without all of everyone playing awful.

Wes. Make a GD shot already. The end.

Barea was the lone bright spot. Randolph had his best game of the year but is still completely clueless out there.

There have been articles in the paper and interviews about this. Adelman is pissed that with the shortened season he has pretty much NO practice time with the team. He has admitted that he's just trying this different stuff to see if he can get anything to work.

These bad rotations aren't because he's an idiot. It's because of the stupid lockout season and his unfamiliarity with all our excess of similarly average ability players.

Ick. Unlike Cleveland and Milwaukee, Toronto played well and deserved to win.

It's pretty simple though. Love's worst game this year and maybe Rubio's worst game = easy loss. Love's body language is what bothers me. He is already in Dwight Howard whiner category, but now it's an excuse to not get back and play defense. Bad games are fine. Horrible games are fine. Certain matchups that consistently frustrate you for years at a time are fine (remember KG and Cliff Robinson? Man did I hate Cliff). What can't happen, Mr. Golden Child, is that transformation to a shitty attitude. It's infectious. If your attitude sucks, then the rest of the players will be affected. He's GOT to get over that soon. I can't say emphasize how much bad games and matchups just don't matter, but his leadership does. Anyway, on to the next one.

I can't really get my head around the rotations, but I didn't really understand until tonight how little Adelman has to work with. Love can sometimes carry the starters and you can hope Darko and Luke get hot sometimes. But if Rubio isn't in that second unit, they have literally NOTHING going for them. What do you expect Randolph, Tolliver, Wellington, etc. to do on their own? Oh wow this team has holes. Barea being back made a world of difference. This would have been a blow out without him. Those points would not have been made up elsewhere. I think if Beasley, Barea, Lee, and Webster get healthy (or at least the first 3) Adelman has a few more options, but my goodness, there just is no legitimate depth. However, I don't think it's THAT big of a problem. The Lakers have had sh*tty depth and are still contenders every year. With rotation players in Tolliver, Darko, Love, Ridnour, Williams, and Rubio, you only need 2-3 more rotation players to become a good team. Maybe Beasley, JJ, Lee, Pek, or Webster can fill 1 or 2 of those. this team isn't as far away as we may think, but with this mismatched, ragtag bunch of characters they just won't do it consistently. It's not possible. They'll get hot sometimes, hell they might beat Chicago tomorrow, but it's not sustainable.

Oh yea, my favorite tactic was unsuccessfully employed again - Ridnour at the point, Rubio at the 2. Love it.

That actually makes sense. If you play enough pickup ball you know there are some guys you click with, and some guys that are maybe better than the guys you click with, but when they are on your team, the chemistry results in a worse product.

That's why guys like Rubio, Tolliver, and for the most part Love are so valuable- they can pretty much hoop with whomever you throw out there with them. That's also why guys like Beasley are less valuable than their abilities would lead you to believe- they have skills but they habitually hinder their teammates in their pursuit of exploiting their skills.

Not to rag on Love, but his complaining and bad attitude has been noticeably worse this year. Definitely not a good trend/change at all. Is it because he thinks he's so much better than the rest of his teammates and is getting frustrated with their crapiness? I hope that's not the case. And I also hope it changes too or this season could go downhill fast. If a bad attitude from the best player on the team starts to infect the rest of the team, then we are going to be in a world of hurt.

Spot on analysis and analogy. It's 100% true.

Yea i know he's not an idiot but it is frustrating nonetheless to watch a winnable game being thrown away because he's still giving every player a chance to sink or swim. I wish he would do all the experimenting in the 1st 3 quarters and leave the 4th quarter the real players.

Goddamnit I was almost done with a huge post and then pushed the wrong button on my keyboard. Sum it up:

Wes J = SUCKS the worst of anyone ever. Should never ever ever ever play.

Need a SG beyond desperately.

What was the worserest: that game, Love's BRUTAL play, or this "National Championship" game? WHERE is the NCAAF playoff? Tonight blows ass.

If Kahn won't make a trade, here are my ideas:

- Start Rubio and JJB or Ridnour. The other guy plays minutes at both guard positions.

- Start Tolliver and backup with Beasley and some D-Charge.

- Love and D-Charge at PF.

There isn't much else you can do with our collection of similarly average ability players. We have no real game changers besides Love and Rubio. Maybe AR, but probably not. Maybe D-Charge someday, but he's too young and inexperienced still.

Move on, this game was ballsack. The worst thing is we played great defense in the second half, and couldn't score any points in the fourth quarter to save our lives. Could/should have easily won.

Oh yeah... Bargnani and Amir Johnson were total beasts and just destroyed us. If Johnson could stay out of foul trouble in his career, and play like 35-40 minutes per game, he would put up some insane stats.

I would probably go with Rubio, Ridnour, Tolliver, Love, and Darko. JJB is best when coming off the bench. Shoot for a 3-man rotation at guard and give the remaining minutes to Ellingon & Wes (I guess  )

Yeah, that sounds good. I wouldn't play Wes unless injuries. He sucks that bad. He has shot 2 freakin Free Throws in NINE games! And he's supposed to be a SG WTF?!?!
