Wolves Record: 3-7 :( :(

The Hornets have our Clippergeddon pick. This is the most important game of the year so far. MUST WIN!

Timberpup Guess 'em Game

Last Game: 111-100 loss to Bulls
Guesses: 15
Season Total: 145

CW was closest (off by 14) and gets 2 timberpups

cycosurgeon & The Daddy tied on the Rose challenge for 1 timberpup each

BonK wins the haiku challenge for 3 TPs. wolfenstein takes 2nd place, and CW & kidoatmeal tie for 3rd place.

mmaland loses .000002 timberpups for making a prediction at halftime. Although technically he still gets a timberpup for making his ineligible prediction due to challenge #3, so well played.

Player - Timberpups (Games in 1st place)

Flash - 16 (6)
CW - 14
WallyWorld - 13 (3)
Loyal Wolf - 13

Game Challenges

#1 Predict which team's starter will win each 1 versus 1 matchup

PG: Ridnour (Rubio possible) vs. Jarrett Jack
SG: Ellington (Ridnour possible) vs. Marco Bellinelli
SF: Wes vs. Al-Farouq Aminu (could be Ariza if back from injury)
PF: Love vs. Chris Kaman (Landry possible)
C: Darko vs. Okafor

2 TPs for getting all 5 matchups correct unless you guess Wolves/Hornets/Hornets/Wolves/Hornets which is worth 1 TP.

#2 Guess how many shots K-Love attempts and makes. 2 TPs for guessing either.

#3 Predict the combined sucktitude of Wes Johnson and Al-Farouq Aminu. Interpret this challenge in any way you want. 1 TP for the winner(s).

Gahhhhhhhhhhh we need to win SO bad! I think I have faith in us. We have 2 days off and hopefully the practice time will help. The Hornets are ok, but not that good by any means. Too bad its in New Orleans though.

Wolves 99 - Hornets 97

Game Challenges

#1

PG: Ruuuuubioooo!!!
SG: Marco Bellinelli
SF: DaJuan Summers
PF: Love
C: Okafor

#2 8 for 16

To watch makes me mad.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Wolves 102

Hornets 87

Game Challenges

#1 - All 5 of the Wolves starters will win their matchups, dig it!?

#2 11 for 16

#3 Wes has had his chance against Rasual Butler, Singleton, and now Aminu. How many more chances does he get against other horrible players? I hope no more after Beasley, Martell, and Lee can play. I have no predictions for this matchup. It's garbage. Because of this matchup, I'm not watching this game.

#1 Hmmm...Well this is a tough/bunk challenge because we are likely to see a starting lineup change/Ridnour plays half of his minutes at SG...but...

PG: Hornets (if Ridnour starts, Wolves if Ricky starts...can I do that?)
SG: Hornets
SF: Wolves
PF: Wolves
C: Hornets

#2 9-14

#3 They combine for fewer than 8 points

Bonus:
Love with 4 or more threes

Is Beasley back tomorrow? Hope so. Then he'll amaze you all with his newfound knack for ball-movement and high percentage shots. Considering the Hornets' lineup, either Beasley or Luke/Barea can play the 2 guard, meaning Wes doesn't need to leave the bench. Play D-Charge and Tolliver at the 3. Easy win. Get Buckets.

Beasley's out. Isn't even going to make the trip to New Orleans.

They will be called important pieces to their respective teams by the broadcasters, and then play less than 30 minutes combined. When will the joke that is Wes Johnson end?

BONUS: Rubio will throw 4 succesfull alley-oops.

Center Brad Miller (knee), swingman Martell Webster (back) and rookie guard Malcolm Lee (knee) all had surgeries before the season and have not been available. Miller did some light work in practice on Thursday, but all three are at least a few weeks away from being able to play.
________

Webster -- a few weeks? Really? He isn't playing before the end of January? Come on, man, get on the court.

I like the fire and leadership Ricky is showing. Someone needs to stand up and say these starts are unacceptable. Interesting to see him be the one that steps up. And it is not just words. He first did it on the court when he came in the Bulls game.

"We are starting like, waiting for it," Rubio said. "We have to punch first. I mean, in this league, if they punch first, like Chicago did, you are in trouble. You are 24 down and then you start playing, like we did. But in the end, you are in trouble if you are not controlling the game. And if you are 24 down, it's so hard to control the game."
