Pek and Rubio have the Euro connection. Again...Pek's skillset can't be found anywhere else on the roster, (including his horrible 3 second calls and fouls). He is a player with a defined skillset who is here for a reason one can discern. And the PA announcer called him Nikola "The Godfather" Pekovic when he stepped to the line tonight which was just fabulous in every way.

And yes, Darko is too much of a headcase. One of the reasons we start so poorly.

I am fine with Adelman seeing if he can still get something out of Wes, to be honest. This ball-on-the-floor thing is intriguing. Has yielded surprising results, too. And he hit a 3 tonight! Let's give it a few more games and see if anything comes out of it. We all are too knee jerk. Let's make a late New Years resolution to think forest vs. trees a little more.

Time to figure out the backup PF (AR/D Will) and soon. Pick one or the other and develop him going forward.

Did anyone see that ridiculous WIDE open 3 Barea passed up? What happened? Did the ball slip from his hands or something or was it just a dumb play?

what a ugly game but a win is a win. Detroit was playing like us last year, playing with no purpose.

I wanted to see if Pek has a block this year so I went to look at his stats (He's NEVER even tried to block a shot, that's a man who knows his limitations) and it appears that he's grabbed only 8 boards this year...ALL of which are offensive!? How does one not get a defensive rebound in 3 games? Come on, son!

Haha i have no idea what was up with that play. I think it was a dumb play because he went up to shoot the 3 but then turned and looked at Rubio before trying to dish the ball back to him. Really bad.

Jim Peterson or someone else said they thought that JJB thought that Prince was coming from behind him to block his shot or something? I have no idea... but that's what the commentator said.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Word. You can't undo a Rambisization in 2 weeks of rushed practice. You need at least 2 months, a priest, a circle of candles, and altar...

Good to see Wes putting the ball on the deck. He is SO athletic it defies reason that he would not be able dribble once and swoop into the basket and finish consistently. That gets the outside shots going. That's how it works.

According to the PA it was because he thought Prince would block it but that's total bull, I have no clue.

I live in NY, so I'm used to Knick and Net coverage that is actually really objective...I finally got the league pass and watch all the games....I never realized how biased local coverage is...The wolves guys are biased but not even that bad...The bulls and Celtics announcers, holy crap is it annoying...Hard to even watch a game like that..."We this" and "We that"..

Kevin Love traded 3 souls to Peko for all the Defensive boards. Fair trade.

Pek and the word 'souls' go well together. He is a legend, and again if anyone missed it above, the PA announcer DID say "to the line shooting 2, Nikola "The Godfather" Pekovic."

Pek had no notable reaction. But I'm guessing somewhere, someone died.

True. Quite a few of the guys from last year have really struggled under Adelman so far. Beasley, Darko, AR... Pek is the about the same.

Wes has had some wild times trying, but he has shown surprising signs of being able to finish. Seems like it gets his confidence up, too. If he can add this element to his game, gets his shooting up, etc, he will at least have a chance to be average. And that's all we can expect from a Kahn draft pick.

I'm still waiting to see if Pek can jump. I don't think both his feet have ever come off the court at the same time.

We would be a solid team if we had a nice defensive Center.

I think Minnesota announcers are pretty fair. Bloggers pretending to be fans over at canishoops are brutal and vile towards the players and those that support the ones they hate most.

I noticed recently that they have been telling it like it is with Wes and Darko. I guess no one could sugar coat some of the play of those guys this year, but some decent comments recently about what they are doing wrong and what can get them going.

You, sir, are definitely going to be banned there now! they banned the Daddy for disparaging remarks about their site...made on this one. So they lurk here waiting to ban us. But there is plenty of good hoop talk at Canispoopus, not everyone sucks there. Waaaayyy too much group think, however.
