Ludicrous, homer, child-like optimism topic of the day.

Beasley seems to be accepting his potential bench role based on his recent quotes.

Say his shooting drops to a 40-45% range, but his renewed defensive and rebounding focus remains....could he be a contender for 6th man of the year if he stays healthy, anchors the 2nd unit and continues to average 14-18ppg while the Wolves stay at or slightly above .500?

Never mind the debate about it being a good idea or not (understand Wes probably starts over him in this case)..we all seem to agree it could be a great lineup switch.

No doubt. Beasley off the bench = perfect role. Just like Odom, he thrives when he is allowed to be himself without pressure or being handcuffed. If the rest of the team starts the game, sets the tone, and he comes in and does his thing, he's much less likely to impact the flow of the game, because the ball is already popping when he steps on the court.

When we start out with no ball movement that kills us.

And yes I know I just used WE and US. I do not care.

He would definitely be one of the frontrunners for 6th man of the year. It also depends on how many games we win.

Beaz -- just keep listening to the mentor.

"I tell him not to think about that," Nixon said. "I tell him to keep playing the way he should and those things will take care of itself."

"those things" = starting

But it was basically the same advice Norm gave him about his next contract.
