I'm not too devastated about not making the move for Crawford..I think of him and Beasley as the same type of inconsistent player at this point..Beasley is restricted next year and Crawford would've opted out..

I wasn't saying just for Crawford (I didn't even want him as a FA last summer anyways), but for anyone. I mean, Gerald Wallace is given away (again!). Nick Young traded for nothing. Other guys were just given away as well. Kahn did NOTHING with his assets and expiring contracts. Such failure.

I don't see why Crawford would have opted out? He wanted to be here.

I'm glad the Beasley trade did not materialize. Jamal Crawford fits a position of need but Beasley is making a valuable contribution as well.

What I would like to see in the second half of the season is Williams starting alongside Love and Pekovic, with Beasley and Wes off the bench. Maybe Martell as a starter next to Ridnour, something like that. If Wes continues his hot play maybe you go "big" and play Pek, Love, Williams, Johnson, Ridnour or something.

I like Nick Young but he's a risk since he was definitely a chucker in Washington. No guarantee that he changes.

Crawford... man, aren't we just reaching? I'd rather have Beasley, wild glaring deficiency at the wing be damned.

Sam Young ticks me off. Anyone that plays a position of need that has good character and works hard should be an option.

Maybe we are just saving space on the perimeter for when Nemanja Bjelica comes over and dominates next year??? :woohoo:

Well, in case the voting was anonymous, I voted for the "I love him" option to piss everyone off...but two people beat me to it!

Yea...who cares about the Crawford moves. Probably/maybe/possibly a positive move, but Daddy messes with chemistry. Unless it's a clear upgrade, you have to consider chemistry.

The idea of just not making moves and standing pat is such a fail simply because success is such a frail, fleeting concept (see "Trailblazers" for an example). Growing, rebuilding, talent, potential, blah, blah for how much longer?

Seriously, They could have had Thabeet and Flynn for Darko

We should have taken a flyer on Nick Young for nothing at all. Likewise we should have taken a flyer on Sam Young for nothing at all.

Crawford like I said, probably not a bad move to cut bait on that, Beas is fine and if he wants to sign a reasonable (~$5M) contract in the offseason with us I hope we can keep him.

We easily could have offered better options to both Washington and Memphis for both those guys. Randolph to Memphis = done. Miller's expiring contract and 2 second rounders to Washington = done.

Starters: Ridnour, S. Young, Williams, Love, Pekovic. Reserves: Barea, Johnson, N. Young, Beasley, Tolliver, Darko.

Next year move Ridnour for a big and add Rubio to the first 5. Solid team that knows what the hell its roles are.

Yea Beas is sooooo valuable that he's played more than 20 minutes in a game 3 times in the past 14 games and nobody wants him. It boggles my mind that people still think there's even the slightest chance that the wolves re-sign him this offseason.

Beas for Crawford is probably lateral from a talent standpoint, but would go a long ways towards balancing the roster. It was a solid move.

What it boils down to is that Kahn is a horrible GM that other GMs hate and doesn't have the balls to pull off trades.

Also please get off the Sam Young bandwagon. You're the only person on it. There's a reason Memphis gave him away. He's not good.

No, we will make an offer to Batum in the offseason. The Blazers will match because he's a RFA and then we twiddle our thumbs because we have $10 million in cap space and nothing to use it on.

I think this was probably Kahn's BEST opportunity to improve he's had since he's been here. At minimum, the Nick Young deal...could have beat it. And teams like the Blazers looking to shed salary...Martell and Brad Miller???? :???

The options are amazingly abundant. Chances are that Nick Young is an upgrade. If not...it was a low risk flyer. Now the Clippers get the chance to find out.

Sam Young looks older than Greg Oden.
