I haven't gotten to watch more than a couple of games this year (no cable). My friend calls me out of the blue and says he has tickets to the Celtics game.

Of course, I am disappointed that I will not get to see Mr. Rubio perform. But I get to experience something better, Vanilla Ice will be the half time show entertainment!

I remember when I was ten years old and getting V Ice's "To The Extreme" in my Easter basket on cassette. The funny thing is, my mom would never let me listen to rap music. She was fooled by the funny looking white guy on the cover. Maybe she thought it was Zack Morris on crack.

I wish for two things: that I can get a picture taken with him, and he utters the famous words "homeboy, you probably eat spaghetti with a spoon."

Hahahahaha I can't believe Vanilla Ice is still alive. And he's playing at half-time of a TWolves game.

Speaking of the Celtics, DFS had tickets to last night's Celtics-Bobkittens game. You all know very well my irrational love for certain players. I'm very cognizant of Rondo's shortcomings...how is he not improving offensively? Blah, blah, "he's the smartest player I've ever coached" blah, blah. Apparently not, he doesn't work on his shot! Pisses me off because he's my favorite point guard in the east. Also, his effort is horrible until it "matters" aka the playoffs. The Celtics would be clear head and shoulders above Philly and Indy if Rondo would "playoff-mode" himself. He's lazy on D, lazy on O, etc.

Also, KG said, "F*ck rebounds, I'm old as sh*t, I get buckets!" and then dropped 24 points with something like 3 rebounds. Ha.

Interesting post. I love hearing firsthand accounts of what players/teams look like in person. Tell me more. Also, what is the atmosphere/scene like at a home Bobcats game these days?

The boxscore listed attendance was 16,357. I find that hard to believe though, as TWolves games were always like 4-5,000 or so less than listed the past half-dozen years.

Concur. More. Love the stories from other arenas. I went to my first non -Wolves game ever a few months back and caught the Mavs in Dallas. Was fun and interesting.
