Personally, I don't like Tyson Chandler as defensive player of the year. Give it to KG or Iggy imo. The Knicks were not an elite defense. Just because they were SO TERRIBLE last year, does that mean Tyson gets all the credit for making them somewhat decent? He's no KG.

I think the voting panel was going for guys who maintained a relatively clean bill of health the full season, or were paid off by Ryan Anderson's (aka Kevin Love Jr) agent. Pek can win it next year when he averages a consistent 20 and 10 after foot surgery.
