The Grizzle dun lost they damn minds. Oh well. One small victory for the Wolves, one giant victory for Dante Cunningham. He would get no minutes with Zach, Gasol, Arthur, and Speights.

I'm not going to lie, I haven't paid much attention to Cunningham. Is he a Tolliver type player? He has ideal size for a 3, not a 4, but all yall are saying he's PF depth?

Eh, he's about Tolliver's size. he's fine for a backup PF. He is solid defensively and can guard most four's fine, except Rasheed, Duncan, and KG in their primes - long, versatile seven footers. But I can't think of many of those in the league that don't A) don't start and B) won't be checked by the All-NBA 1st team defensive player KLove.

Much more of a traditional big man, he ain't shooting three's like Tolliver but he's The Daddy's type of player - physical and gritty.

Great trade for us.

Ellington sucks. At least Cunningham is a big man, which we actually need right now (heaven forbid we get Scola... fail.)

And Cunningham has a Team Option for next year, so if he blows up we can keep him for cheap. If not we cut him and lose nothing. Kahn should never have picked up the options for Ellington and Wes Johnson in the first place... :S
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Can't name ONE person who was happy with those moves. Shit.

So bad is Wes.

The pathetic thing about getting Cunningham is that he may pass the Caged Lion on the depth chart backing up Love :( That, and the fact that there is probably no way the Lion takes minutes from Buddy on the wing and you have a lion caged...again.

I for one loved picking up Ellington's and Wes's options. Basketball brilliance. They are going to blow up this year, just you wait and see. :woohoo:

What do you guys think of Williams and Pek for Gortat? Yay or nay?

There are two preposterous statements here. One was sarcasm, I caught that much. The other better be, since the best player in that scenario is Pek.

Gortat definitely isn't bad, but who knew Pek was gonna blow up last year? Still, Gortat is much more proven than Pek, so who knows how the rest of their careers will go.

All I do know is that Williams is still fat, and sucks.

I was kidding. Just trying to prepare Wolves nation for the pennies on the dollar D-Charge trade looming on the horizon. Truth be told, I'd probably lean towards Pek for Gortat straight up although it's close. Gortat leans more heavily towards D, I feel, which makes him a better front court partner with Love.

I can definitely agree with that.

Well, Pek was pretty consistently the shit. He's going to average 15 and 8, minimum. The thing is, although he's probably better than Gortat, Gortat fits better with Love. Also, if Brook Lopez and Asik got such dumb contracts, what will Pek command next year? So, it's not so crazy as I thought. A one for one swap sounds much better. Maybe Derrick Williams can be saved for a Wes Matthews sign and trade :pinch:

Is Wes M a RFA next year? If so, we should bid the sh%t out of his contract so Portland has to max or let him walk. Something preposterous like $8M/yr or more. Is Wes M consistent? $8M seems awful high, almost as high as $12M for Batum. We should do this with every fycking RFA that Portland has, just screw em. At least 4-5 games per year would be fun no matter what the records are.
