Good stuff Daddy, thanks much for posting it.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

www.nba.com/timberwolves/news/1-1-david-...ei-kirilenko-signing

Spending time with Adelman is making Kahn a better GM, I'm convinced of it. Not overselling, just telling it like it is. There's a calmness in his delivery that I'm not used to from him.

The point with Shved having Kirilenko on the team to help him acclimate is a good one. Also the depth that we're adding tends to mitigate the uncertainties swirling around Shved and Roy. Budinger, Kirilenko, etc. Maybe one more guy makes us feel a bit better at the two.

Next rumor on tap: Tyreke Evans for Derrick Williams (and maybe Ridnour). Discuss amongst yourselves.

This a legit rumor or just an idea from you?

If it's legit, we do it. D-Will will have negative trade value soon. Especially after this upcoming season when he's getting 5 minutes per game.

Wolfson from 1500 fielded some questions on it on twitter. Not sure if it is legit from inside the organization or if he just validated that if it were on the table Kahn would probably go for it bc Kahn likes Evans apparently.

Before Beasley, Randolph, and Wes left I'd say no way... not to mention Lord Adelman's team in place. But now you are starting to form a core that's a little more stable. Less of a volatile environment for a young guy who's had a somewhat rough run in a poor environment.

I'd go for Evans if we could get him.

Tha'd be a good trade. I'd definitely do that, although once Ricky is back Tyreke would probably have to come off the bench.

You think Roy would start? Tyreke would be big time insurance against Roy's knees.

In crunch time you could go

Rubio
Tyreke
Roy
Kirilenko
Love

Or something like that. That's a legit squad. Do you think Sacramento would go for that? Say we throw in some protected future 1st or something like that to make it work (I think it would have to be our own right? we've run out of other teams' firsts?).

Roundhouse, where do I sit on the "homer vs. panic" trade scale?

I would do it from a value standpoint, and think it is a really good suggestion, but here is my Devil's Advocacy:

1. Tyreke would need a big extension in the short term. Not ideal. With how many teams that are under the cap this summer, he will get an 8 million+ long term offer sheet without question. If we match it, it could mean trouble for our payroll and lux tax situation with Pek also in a similar situation. This team just cant afford another big contract aside from Pek or it will be in cap hell.

2. We would have a true logjam in the backcourt with little to no front court depth. Stiemsma and Cunningham aren't enough to hold it down as they are both 10-minute energy guys you dont want to give a bigger role too than needed.

3. Sacramento just drafted a guy by the name of Thomas Robinson who is a complete beast and plays the same position as D Dub

Ibaka is someone to talk about.

Rubio/Evans/Roy would never work on the court together. It would be a disaster because they are all dominate the ball. If we were to trade for Evans, it really wouldn't make sense to sign Roy but we already have a verbal agreement with him.

I would say it seems like a pretty legit trade in some form if the Kings think that DurrWill can play SF. Otherwise, it doesnt make that much sense for them. Tyreke has been the subject of trade rumors for awhile now, so it doesn't seem farfetched.

Do you think there's any chance/reason Thunda trade Iblocka? That seems far fetched to me. Obviously that would be great for us.

Sure, if the Thunda see a way to get better, I'm they would trade him. However, does anything from the Wolves make them better? Derrick Williams would play well paired with Perkins. He can take whichever assignment he can handle better and would get plenty of touches if he can somehow rotate with Harden, sharing the scoring load while Durant and Westbrick are resting.

Wishful thinking. Not happening. Next

Yes, Tyreke only has one year left which sucks. And they just drafted Robinson. I don't see why they would do it for D-Charge. Maybe If they would have drafted Barnes instead...

Thunda would never trade Iblocka for Williams. Presti is not retarded.

Tyreke would be a great SG with Roy playing like 20 minutes off the bench. Plus then with his leadership he could lead the reserves. I'd love that.

Agreed...but what about HARDEN for Derrick Williams!!??? Oh, wait, he's even better than Iblocka :(

Calderon requested a trade, I guess trade DurrWill for him.

What else. Biyombo. please.

Avery Bradley. please.

We need Evans in Minnesota long term to trade him for D-Will. I just want to make sure in the end the Wolves have the space to sign Pek...
