I wonder what kind of kahntract the Peksecutioner will get? Hopefully not too much... his success in the NBA is a pretty small sample size so far.

I'd be fine with like $36-$40 million over 4 years.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

If he stays healthy, he'll receive a boatload of cash. Best get it done by the all-star break if he's playing well

I am pretty sure we can't get it done until the summer. That's what someone in the comments said. Something about him not having 3 years of play with the team. We do own his Bird rights though.

I'll say Pek's production is just as important to the Wolves success as Love. Dude had a PER of 21.47 ...When Pek goes the Wolves go. When he's not playing or playing poorly, the team isn't very good

Keeping Pek is huge since Love is a prime candidate to start his own "Dwightmare."

If Love looks like he will bolt, trade him to Charlotte for MKG, Biyombo, Gerald Henderson, and 3 future unprotected first rounders and max out Pek.

What I sorta like about Pek's situation is we can't extend him now. He is a RFA next summer.

Now, this leaves room for Portland to poison us with a max deal, but I like that he gets another season to prevent an overpayment overreaction. If he has a 15 and 10 season, odds are he will attract attention at a max salary or something in the realm of what Batum/McGee/D. Jordan got...$10-12 million over 4.

If Pek has another consistent year with little injuries, this is about right. It does leave the Wolves in a screwy situation though if AK47 opts out to pursue a long term deal, Gerald Wallace-style (something I fear has a good chance of happening...leaving the Wolves completely screwed and unable to re-sign him).

If it's Kahn and Pek negotiating Kahn will stare into Pek's eyes and instantly offer the 5 year max. Seriously though, if Pek can put up the same numbers as last year while increasing defensive rebounds that easily puts him into the top 3 offensive centers in the league (with a healthy rubio ~ Pek n Roll) See us giving him 4 years 52 million if he puts up the same numbers as last year.
