Well this article is encouraging and terribly discouraging at the same time. Pek is a monster, still. And then Bayno just comes on out and said it bluntly, Derrick Williams is still fat and is still garbage on the court. That is just great.

Doogie wrote: "From the naked eye, he (Rubio) looked good getting up on his jump shots."

From the video interview I just watched, Ricky said he is shooting minus the jumping: startribune.com/video/171606081.html#/171606081/video/1/pv

I know Ricky's jump shot was always pretty flat-footed, but is this a case of Doogie's "naked eye" being like George spotting cousin Jeffrey kissing Jerry's girlfriend?

Williams sucks.

And I can't believe he hasn't been traded yet, especially since he's not-white...
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Bayno D-Will: "He's such a good kid, he really is. He's a sweetheart. But he can't be that kid on the court. He needs to be a junkyard dog."

Kind of ironic for a self-described "caged lion."

Speaking of "Getting ready for the season" is this blog going to be ready?

Stuff is starting to happen with all the guys in now and it seems like some of the things like "Recent Topics" is functioning like a Wes Johnson jump shot.

"An NBA source said if the Wolves hadn't signed power forward Lou Amundson this week, their backup plan was to offer the same contract to forward Yi Jianlian. Plan C was free-agent power forward/center Sean Williams."

Yiiii?!?!?!?! Glad we got Lou.

Lou was a solid addition. Like him a lot.

But you have to admit the comedy behind Yi signing here would have been just off the charts and probably worth it for the laughs.

Lou is a scrappy hardworking player and Yi is what Love would be if he sucked really badly. So I guess I'm glad we got Lou.

Tell ya what, I am excited for Shvedy and I've only seen him play twice. We have no clue if he is any good. Is he a solid role player? A star in the making? Marko Jaric 2.0? Anthony Morrow with a better handle? Nobody knows...

Do you read that article on there about Love not being in shape? What is that. Way to be a leader Love.

Absolutely, I noted that when putting him in my category of least favorite players...And then interviewed the other day he specifically went out his way to mention how he asked the coaches about how his scoring will be affected by the additions. he threw in some BS about putting the team before his points, but it was such a half-ass effort. He will NOT be denied his statistics.

I wouldn't be worried. He had a long Summer. He'll be fine when the season starts. He's done other things though as a leader especially off the court. Him and Ricky coordinated a team dinner, which I think goes a long way for chemistry considering last year. Kirilenko also has complimented Love on being a great leader so far

That's not how it went lol. He was specifically asked if he thinks his points per game will drop and maybe his assists will go up. He said he spoke directly to the coaching staff about it and said if he has to sacrifice points for the team to win he will.

So, he went to the coaching staff because he is DEFINITELY worried about his stats. They said don't worry. He then said in the interview, more or less, "winning is more important than my stats...but my stats won't go down." Aka, ain't nobody touching my fantasy value.
