Frankly I don't think AK is the type of guy who cares what Love is going to do. AK is like Honey Badger. He don't give a sh*t.

Screw what anyone says, keep the Euros at all cost. Everyone else can leave. Besides LEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

WallyWorld - good thoughts on the Love situation. I think it is very valuable to probe into it like you are doing, so thanks for adding to the perspective.

Here are some of my thoughts after watching the game last night.

Love is 24, has overachieved, is a top NBA player, but he still has a lot of lessons to learn about team, leadership, defense, offense and how to represent himself and the organization. He's talking about playoffs and being a contender. His production contributes to that, but he does not understand how to take a team and move them to the next rung in the ladder.

MJ and Kobe had a lot to learn from Phil to get to the place where they got all those rings on their fingers. One of the best things Love could do right now is stop acting like a D-bag and a know-it-all and go to Adelman with some humility and say to him, "Show me how to be a part of a winning and contending team."

He shows that he knows almost nothing about building trust, which is the foundation for moving towards a high performing team. This is true in sports and in corporations. He has to recognize what he does to destroy trust and what he is and needs to be doing to build it.

You watch and listen to AK. He understands what it takes to build a winning team. Love could learn a ton from him and he should be grateful that Kahn got him.

Rubio? Go back and find how he was talking this past summer. He was disturbed by the team dynamics and as he called it, lack of family. He contrasted it to his Spanish national team that was so clearly there for him in the summer while he rehabbed and he felt the family aspect that he saw was missing.

Love should have recognized what Ricky was saying and come to him and said, "Let's figure out how to build this." Instead, at that very time, he was interacting with the other American Olympic stars and bitching.

Love has the treasure right in front of him of Rubio, AK, Shved and Pek. Instead of embracing what he can learn from them, he is acting like a jerk and destroying trust with guys that are very willing to follow him and build it with him. But they must be looking at what he just did with this interview and be confused.

I don't doubt that the interview was a strategic decision. It was a poor strategic decision to do that at this time. It didn't help Love at all. It hurt him before his team, organization and the fans. (The point is not if what he said was true, most of it is. But we already heard it from Love and it was foolish to do that now and publicly.)

I hoped he learned something from this. Show some humility, be a learner, and start contributing to winning.

So far, Mr. Love, you have pretty much sucked this year and let your team down. And last night's performance was pathetic. Stop whining on the court and publicly and start earning the the max money you are getting paid!

And less all about himself. Man up klove, you are part of the reason they aren't making the playoffs. Other "stars" make their team better and go to the playoffs. Look at yourself and see what you can do better and shut up and play

Tod Murph -
1. Thanks!

2. I agree the timing was very odd and unusual given the team has been in this sort of purgatory in terms of performance and fan interest since Rubio went down. We are days away from "Act 2" of the season and there is no real good reason for Love to slam personnel at this point.. It just made no sense, unless there was some sort of agenda to air. Missing the playoffs as an 11th seed? Sure.

The players know Kahn more than the rest of us and I think Love (and likely others) want to make sure Adelman and his next of kin are running ship in the front office, sooner rather than later. The 2nd degree "problem" with the Wolves being playoff contenders this year is SO many people are starting to let bygones be bygones with Kahn and forgetting about how bloody HORRIBLE he has been up until he acquired some nice players this offseason. And that starts with Taylor. No need to repeat his blunders ad nauseum but..... man.....and Love's agent KNOWS Pek is doing to get short changed by him too when the time is right.

There are just a lot of layers to this one. You have to remember Love isn't really criticising his TEAM as much as he is the people who run it. It is more complicated than "Love being diva" or "Love alienating his teammates" despite the comments being in bad taste and timing. It is much more about the "why" than the "what" here.

I think the simplest way to put it is that Love was just reminding everyone that despite the team being 7th in the West, that Kahn is still a sketchy, terrible GM and should still be fired as soon as possible. And for that, he is 10000% right.

Kahn is the freakin worst. Such a total complete epic FAIL.

I honestly can't believe he's still here. Stupid cheapass Glen Taylor...

:(
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Thanks, guys. Personally, very disappointing to see us deal with stuff like this now. 4 days ago in the elimination game, I posted:
+ Love: 36 and 13 on Friday. Above 50% shooting. 14 for 19 FT, which was twice as many FT attempts as CLE. He's back!

I am a fan of his, but it is time for him to keep the progression going forward. Listen, we all do curious and sometimes stupid things. I'd always prefer to learn by using my mind and seeing what needs to be done to improve. But I know mistakes and failures have been some of the best lessons. In the end, I hope this is one of those necessary experiences that Love had to have to take a leap forward. But it is up to him to determine how much of a learner he wants to be. Hopefully we are watching some great BB in the months ahead instead of dealing with stuff like this.

And if we get someone like Flip who knows a little about basketball to replace Kahn, this organization can buy more community credibility than will cost them to get it.

Oh gee................. good thing we didn't trade K-Lav for Ibaka and Harden last year. Welp, epic FAIL. :S

I tried for a solid 7 minutes to try to work out a trade machine 3 way trade with Houston and OKC that was actually fair, and netted the Wolves Ibaka and Harden but more importantly worked cap-wise. I couldn't do it.

I motion that RH awards a Timberpup to the person who can come up with such a scenario.

Ok, but I don't think it can be done. Which team would get Love? What would the other team receive? It's an impossible situation.

Houston gets Love,

We would also have to give up Pek, D Will or both in the deal to give to OKC. That's where it gets tricky salary-wise.

Houston is/was rebuilding. So they get D-Will, Pek, and whatever draft picks OKC and the Wolves can come up with.

OKC gets Love and Kevin Martin.

We get Harden and Iblocka.

Seems simply enough to me, although admittedly I haven't tried doing it with the trade generator at all, so I have no idea on the salaries. I'd have to believe enough spare parts could be added to get it to work out.

The other factor is, of course, that OKC already HAS Kevin Martin

Oh, I thought you guys meant before the OKC-Houston trade went down.
