Game of runs.

I feel like the outside shooting in this game is perhaps the worst I have ever seen in a basketball game. Have the Wolves hit more than 2 jumpshots or I am I dreaming? Rough night for Pek.

Should come away with the ugly win.

Wow, the shooting has been dreadful. It's an amazing thing we are even winning

These games at the beginning of the year are so ugly.

Rubio, please hurry. Pek and CunningHAM spend so much energy running the court and sealing their defender only to never be noticed by the Hobbit twins.

Ugly, Ugly win. We shot the ball horribly, but the bench was a real spark especially Barea. We can't shoot any worse than that so there's optimism. The defense looks much improved

Game 1 Bullets:

•AK is soooo clutch. Huge block (not a goaltend, as he touched the ball on the way up first then swatted it off the backboard), then a huge cut to the basket and touch-pass to Pek.

•JJB made some very heads up plays and nailed the last dagger 3... good to see him settle down at the end of a game.

•I love Cunningham's defensive energy. Beasting on the block. Cousins didn't want none of him (or Kirilenko).

•It's like somebody cut Pek's head off and stuck it on a He-Man action figure.

•Roy knows what to do with the ball at the end of a game. This is a skill with an importance that cannot be overstated.

•Didn't see the first part of the game. Williams didn't shoot so hot, but got to the line a couple times and only shot one 3. How did he play?

•What is this "defense" of which you speak?

That's all I have.

Stiesma, AK and Cunningham were playing some defense. I loved it

First of all, a win is a win. Great to start the season off 1-0! Better than the Lakers, Celtics, & Thunder can say.

Barea had a good game. Enough said.

Budinger looked like Wes Johnson out there tonight. That's that ish I don't like.

Stiemer 4 blocks!! Bodying guys up! He really made his presence felt - I was impressed.

CunningHAM was good. Every game I have seen so far he has been solid and offense and very good on D. I really like what he brings. Totally outplayed the Caged Lion.

Ridnour, Shved, Williams, Bud, & Pecker all had bad games. And we still won by a dozen.

AK47 is SO SOLID. Just all around a great guy to have on the floor. He locked up Tyreke all night and was such a key glue guy on offense, always making the right play.

Roy was pretty good.

Wow, the Kings sucks. Cousins can't help but get in his own way. Tyreke & Cousins have to be 2 of the biggest ballhogs in all of the land. Thompson and Cousins were just constantly complaining and whining and acting like they were in agony. This team does not seem to like or respect each other. It's going to be a long year for Kings fans.

We did not see SILENT ABABU tonight. That doesn't mean he wasn't there, but he was nowhere in our sight.

Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Bytheway, what was that mega cool sport stream website you watch the games at? I remember CW and the daddy posting about it during the preseason, but I forgot the site :(

I think it may be www.thefirstrow.eu/

Yeah that's it. It's the best. Watch any sports event you'll want to see. And MMA PPV's too!

Wow that was a bruuuutal game to watch. But at least we got the 'W' so that was fantastic. Would have been a killer to lose to that crappy Kings team.

My goodness the Kings have a bunch of interchangeable and uninteresting players. I would be sad if they were "our team", and we had to cheer for that sad bunch of players.

I am loving me some AK and CunningHAM. Great stuff.

-Wooo JJ Barea is the man. MVP for sure. Great game for Stiemsma too.

-I thought Roy played a pretty good game despite not shooting very well. He wasn't taking bad shots, they were just all rimming out.

-Terrible games for Pek and Shved. I would throw Budinger in there with them, but he got hot in the 4th quarter.

-AK47 is a revelation at SF after watching Wes & Beas the past few years

-The Kings are horrible and have a really unlikable team. That would suck to have to cheer for them.

Kings...man, what is it like to be a fan of that team? Shitty owner, team is likely leaving, shitty asshole players.

I never knew Thompson and James Johnson were that whiny. It's the power of the situation. You embody the culture of the team. Cousins is infectious. Those three just whined the whole time.

Isaiah Thomas = Aaron Brooks + a bit more skill.

Aaron Brooks = Jimmer + a bit more skill.

Jimmer = Thornton - a lot of skill.

Thornton = Evans - athleticism.

AHAHAHAHA :woohoo: :silly: :P

I know it's the beginning of the year, so everyone is rusty. But the Kings have the SAME team from last year, yet the Wolves handled them with their best two offensive players - Pek and Roy, shooting horribly and their sixth man, C-Bud, playing horribly too.

I hope the Kings get better. How about something around Batum for Cousins? Cousins and Aldridge would be good. Aldridge and the Blazers would look at him crazy if he acted dumb. Batum would be a good equalizer on that team of no intangibles.

That might actually work. But man... I'd actually feel really bad for Batum getting traded to that shittastic team lol.

Great thoughts all around. A little late, but some additions:

-Barea looked fantastic and in control. Really finished well on offense. I suspect this trend will be an outlier.

-The improvements to the depth ate glaringly obvious. We now have guys who can step up if others are playing like donkey balls, and it is fabulous. Tonight, JJ was the reason we stayed in it and won.

-This team is going to be stupid good at full health. I don't care if I am using the Kings as a benchmark. Irrational homerism until further notice from me. It has been 9 years since optimism has been embraced since the beginning of a season.

-I felt bad for SHVED. Clearly super nervous. Wouldn't you be, though? I'll be rooting for him to get it together mentally and fast. Might take awhile. The skills are there. Support the SHVED and let him adjust.

-I agree with the thoughts on team defense. The Kings are terrible and I won't even mention DC today because.....GREG STIEMSMA! Holy balls! He was making plays on every possession on both ends! Blocking dunks, getting pissed off, tipping rebounds. Scoring. Hitting his free throws. Showing he isn't afraid to take jumpers. This guy is like Dorko after seeing his first naked boob. What a great, solid, debut from him. Super impressed.
