I thought their whole point of wanting Pau last year was that they wanted a 3-man rotation of Love/Pau/Pek? That actually makes sense. We don't have the right contracts to make that happen anymore. They just need to give up on trying to get Pau, there are other guys out there on the trading block that can help this team.

It sounds like the Lakers don't want to make a trade until they see how they everyone plays when Steve Nash comes back.

Hopefully the Raptors bail us out. Their offer helps the Lakers more than ours does. Bargnani is a perfect fit next to Dwight Howard and the Lakers could desperately use a good PG like Calderon.

Only way I want Pau's gigantic/terrible contract is if we can just dump whatever spare parts on them that we want. I'm fine if it's D-Charge + whatever else to match-up the salaries. No way we should give the Lakers anything good, his contract is just too suffocating.

Derrick Williams' agent, Rob Pelinka, has not formally requested a trade for his client, but he has asked the Minnesota Timberwovles about the possibility of parting ways due to lack of playing time, according to a team source.

The Timberwolves, however, let Pelinka know that they will first wait to see how Williams and Ricky Rubio mesh on the court once Rubio returns from a torn ACL.

"We told him to wait for our team to come together," the source said. "Wait for Derrick to play with Ricky (Rubio). When they played together last year, Williams benefited greatly."

I actually think it is good they apparently told him to be patient and see what happens when he plays with Ricky. The best he played so far in the NBA was when he was on the court with Ricky.

Also, that dude's speculation on Rubio's return is wrong. This is the last game he will be sitting out.
