1. He knows his role. He is playing like Cunningham on Offense. Paying attention on defense. Rebounding.

2. Love needs the elixir from Rubio's tears of pure basketball joy in order to cure his candyass syndrome.

Kahn absolutely has the order of importance right between Love and Rubio. That being said, I think Rubio would have been happy with the $15M x 4 year deal and allowing Love to be prima donna. I am not sure Love will get past that, even with a winning team. He's too selfish.

-Derek Fisher is such a punk bitch. Can't wait until this azzhole retires. How do the refs give him all those calls? I haven't seen officiating this bad in a loooong time. That whole crew deserves to be sent down to the d-league.

Those two fouls in a row against Steimer were soooooo BOGUS! He didn't do anything wrong on that screen against Fisher, and then the next play he totally blocks him completely clean. Two fouls?!?! That was atrocious! And then the foul on Ricky where he was literally standing straight up and didn't even touch the guy?!? There were sooooo many atrocious calls. Thank goodness we still won because that would have been brutal.

And then should have given out like 6 flop warnings after that game. Fisher and JJB just don't stop.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Okay. Now here is another point...

Derrick Williams is a better fit for this team than Kevin Love. Love for Harden and unprotected 1sts in 2013, 2015, and 2072.

You crazy if you think Houston would trade Harden for Love straight up, not even mentioning draft picks. Never going to happen.

I'd be fine with keeping D-Will if Love were to be traded, because he's actually a decent fit on this team. But Love isn't going to be traded, so yea...trade D-Will!

Unless, we can still make Love for Wade happen! Get one of the Adelmans on the phone.

Ha, the daddy isn't on either of those bandwagons. Not Love and definitely not Williams. However, I don't dislike their games. They just do not complement each other and one should go in order to get an elite wing or a lane protector like Ibaka.

Love will never grow on me because he is the least complete cocky, arrogant, whiner star I've ever seen. before this season, he was elite on offense and rebounding. He doesn't make his teammates better nor does he even approach average on defense. When your man sets a screen it is possible to show hard, making him dribble high and wide, negating the purpose of the pick, then to sprint back to your man. When your man posts you up, it is possible to deny him the ball, especially if it's KG or another big who facilitates offense from the block with the ball in his hands. Just two examples of what pisses me off about him on d.

Oh, and I've heard the "KG had better players than Love ever did before this year" crap. Sure, I might concede that. However, KG MADE half those players as successful as they were. KG somehow molded Trenton Hassell into a serviceable player. He found him for open looks time and time again and believed in him. Love instead is the type to hesitate before passing to Lee in the corner and to instead bully in the lane with his head down.

gah, I'm done with this shit. Get ya'lls blinders off. Dirk couldn't win a thing until he had defenders ALL around him, covering for him and committing to playing 4.5 vs. 5. Love is in the mold of Dirk. Amazing shooters touch. confident to no end. But even Dirk is a solid leader and a guy teammates look up to.

Oh yea, the initial point...Trade Williams, keep Love. duh. Wolfenstein, would you trade Dirk (yes, if he was such an asshole, I get it)? Love will get his awesome shooting back one day. He'll shoot free throws at 80% again one day. Since Harden, Wade, and Corey Brewer are unrealistic targets, trading him is futile. Maybe if OKC gets beat up in the playoffs they'll do Love for Westbrook and Westbrook can finally play the 2 guard and be the man.

You are crazy if you think that Houston wouldn't take a loooooooooooong look at that trade (not the unprotected 1sts, but for sure a Love for Harden swap). Love is essentially the only player in the league that does what he does. Unless his acting like a whiny bitch is hurting his trade stock, he would easily be one of the highest value trades in the league. I stand by my list on the Much Love for Kevin Love thread.

Awesome post for real. I couldn't have said of this stuff better myself. And I totally agree with that stuff about K-Lav that irks me. Maybe he'll evolve for the better as he gets older? All we can do is hope, I guess.

Howl.

That would be sweet for us. I think Westbrook would be a better SG than he is PG... and I also think he'd play well with Ricky. They have contrasting styles and positives, but playing together it would be better for our team. I still think Harden would have been the perfect SG for the Wolves, but the Rockets won't trade him. Ricky, SHVED, and Westbrook would be an amazing guard rotation.

Dirk - Leadership + Rebounding = Love.

DFS you are preaching to the choir. Garnett is a better basketball player every day of the week and twice on Sunday unless you are Hollinger.

Wait... Hollinger is in Memphis's front office now. Love for Tony Allen and Marc Gasol.

Yes, that game was awesome to be at. Ricky's return, an overtime game, a T-Wolves win, an excitable weekend crowd, reffing controversy...it had it all. Easily the most fun game I've been to this year.

Random Wolves thoughts: AK47 continues to be rock solid all around, consistently doing the littlest things that are crucial to team victories. Shved in the starting lineup is awesome. How can you not love Lexi, seriously. Big Pecker attracted a lot of defensive attention and seemed to get good positioning often last night. Ridnour continues to do a lot. I know his D is horrid, but he really helps the team out a ton overall. Derrick has been playing a lot headier lately. If he can play that way consistently, he definitely deserves minutes no matter what.

Random Mavs thoughts: Matrix is the guy I forgot to put in my All-Underrated team in the NBA thread. I knew I was forgetting someone important. He, Brand, and Fisher all impressed with their efficiency and effectiveness, despite severely lacking athleticism (in Brand & Fisher's case). Man, Fisher is easy to hate out there. And wow is OJ Mayo smooth. So so smooth and fluid at all times. He looks great. And I can't think of many faster guys in the NBA than Collison. He is so speedy.

And then, of course, there is Ricky. The game instantly gets 2x as interesting when he is on the court. It seems like even his teammates feel that way to a certain extent. He is just so natural with his crafty passes and creative ball handling. He had some sick subtle fakes, jukes and hesitation moves on guys which I don't know how well they would've translated on TV. Feel good vibes all around, thanks to Ricky. This was the most I've seen College Wolf cheer in years. What a fun game.

Late on this report, but I thought it was worth sharing. I scored some amazing seats, 3rd row center court, 2 rows in front of Kahn, for this one. So, I was about 10 feet or less from Kahn and was able to turn around and observe him many times.

-He seriously looks like a cave gnome/gollum, this short grumpy man with a frown on his face, pale as can be just slowly makes his way into his seat after player intros. His fashion sense is that of a senile grandparent.

-Kahn was wearing suede shoes.

-His mole is a spectacle to behold in person

-He sits alone. Adelman's other son leaves an empty seat between the two.

-Zero reaction or emotion to the game. He will occasionally yell "travel" or "three seconds," sort of like that annoying little kid sitting near you in the stands who thinks every play is a travel.

-He has an iphone and was texting a few times throughout the game. Working on trades? He has no case on his iPhone. Clearly too good for cases. I'll bet Love doesn't have a case on his iPhone.

-At one point, since he sits there like a grumpy hemorroidal ointment spokesman, I told myself I was going to try to get a reaction out of him. So 4th quarter with less than a minute it was the right moment. I turn around, make direct eye contact and start clapping enthusiastically at him and motion for him to stand up. Kahn glares at me for a second and then looks away! Bwahaha what a turd. It was hilarious.

Other than that great win. The Fisher ref stuff was total bogus. Wow.
