Ha, the daddy isn't on either of those bandwagons. Not Love and definitely not Williams. However, I don't dislike their games. They just do not complement each other and one should go in order to get an elite wing or a lane protector like Ibaka.
Love will never grow on me because he is the least complete cocky, arrogant, whiner star I've ever seen. before this season, he was elite on offense and rebounding. He doesn't make his teammates better nor does he even approach average on defense. When your man sets a screen it is possible to show hard, making him dribble high and wide, negating the purpose of the pick, then to sprint back to your man. When your man posts you up, it is possible to deny him the ball, especially if it's KG or another big who facilitates offense from the block with the ball in his hands. Just two examples of what pisses me off about him on d.
Oh, and I've heard the "KG had better players than Love ever did before this year" crap. Sure, I might concede that. However, KG MADE half those players as successful as they were. KG somehow molded Trenton Hassell into a serviceable player. He found him for open looks time and time again and believed in him. Love instead is the type to hesitate before passing to Lee in the corner and to instead bully in the lane with his head down.
gah, I'm done with this shit. Get ya'lls blinders off. Dirk couldn't win a thing until he had defenders ALL around him, covering for him and committing to playing 4.5 vs. 5. Love is in the mold of Dirk. Amazing shooters touch. confident to no end. But even Dirk is a solid leader and a guy teammates look up to.
Awesome post for real. I couldn't have said of this stuff better myself. And I totally agree with that stuff about K-Lav that irks me. Maybe he'll evolve for the better as he gets older? All we can do is hope, I guess.
