Reminder: Only 3 games left in the Timberpup regular season!

Just an idea from the "gambling option" thing I put in the last game post...

Do you think besides the normal 3 game challenges for these last 3 games, we could also add a gambling option? We'd have to come up with something that makes sense to bet on.

Bonk, you are checking out the lines for games, maybe you would be the one to set the gambling challenge???

Then it would be an option for anyone to put up some TPs, say 5 of your TPs. Make your prediction and if correct, you add 5 to your total. If incorrect, you lose those off your total. That would make it a 10 point swing. If that seems like it is more of a swing than what we would want to see in the standings at the end, we could make the bet 3 TPs.

Thoughts?

That's a good idea. Too bad we didn't think of this earlier in the season. For the last 2 games, I'll implement a gambling challenge, maybe based on the Vegas line or over/under or something? Or were you thinking something else to gamble on?

Local TV ratings from Saturday for men 25-54: The Edina-Hill-Murray Class-AA boys hockey state championship game did a 5.0. The Timberwolves-Nuggets game did a 1.1. The Class-A game with St. Thomas Academy against Hermantown also had about five times the Wolves' audience.

Bahaha oh man, this is just so sad and funny at the same time.

Apparently we blew an 18 point half-time lead?

Welp, go figure.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

It's sad. Now I have no real rival. Roundhouse was the only one who could beat me.

Haha thanks. Flash talking smack like usual. If I remember correctly, CW and Wallyworld whooped your ass the past 2 seasons :silly:

Yep, sure did!

:silly: :woohoo: ;)

I wasn't 100% sure what would be the best things to bet on. The Vegas line or over/under may be the best and simplest things at this point. Maybe somebody has a better suggestion.

The only other question is how much should bets be? If too much, people might not actually do it. What each person would be comfortable with will vary, so you could either set a bet amount, or just leave it to people to put up whatever amount of their TPs they choose. With the latter, we might see people betting an amount to try to move up a spot or get in the playoffs, which might cause others to make a bet to protect their spot.
