NBA 08 just came out today, who's excited?

NBA Live or 2K8 or both?

I've got 2K7... which is really tight. Too bad it's way too easy, even on the hardest difficulty.

The one problem with 2K basketball games is they always have stupid rap remixes to include NBA player and team names.

I have played every NBA Live since the legendary \"Bulls vs. Blazers and the NBA Playoffs\", but in recent years, it has really become a somewhat crappy game in my opinion. At least when it comes to balancing and gameplay.

It was always too much arcade style and too little simulation for my taste, and they always have a strange and frustrating way to increase the difficulty level, but what now really gets me annoyed it the totally unbalanced superstar-feature.

A Basketball game I enjoyed playing was Total NBA on the old PS and NBA Give and Go on the SNES but those were not continued to the next generation consoles. Sadly, I have never played any 2K sports games...and I guess I will get me the new NBA Live this year again, when it is published here in Germany (usually in November), although I'm pretty sure it will continue to be the most frustrating video game (series) I ever played...and that's probably what I love it for and hate it for and love it for and hate it for...

- I am not getting the new game, as I am at about the 2/3rds point on my season of 2k7. I am too busy to play every day, or mutliple times a day, so I usually get the new bball game every 2 years cuz it takes me about that long to do a full season!

- I was like you Sanyarin, loved Live cuz i love bball, but it didn't seem realistic enough to me and a little too arcadeish. I bought 2k last year and LOVED it.

I would buy this if I had a roommate that would play the game with me.

Or if one of the three people that I played against would ever come to my place.

Or if I had money.

Or if I didn't lose interest with games against the CPU.

Or if I didn't find people to be turds on XBox Live when playing basketball games.

CW, that's how I feel about 2K8. It's so easy to score on anyone with anyone. I recommend NBA 08 despite the reviews it's been receiving. I think that the game-play is exciting and the graphic realism is definitely there.
