I borrowed the X-Men Wolverine movie. I have a feeling that will be coming to a this thread soon but I figured I should give it a watch for completeness.

That movie wasn't the worst ever, but probably just because I like Hugh Jackman and have always loved the Wolverine from waaaaay back when in the comics days. Definitely not gonna win any Oscars, but I've seen worse.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

In other words, CW loved it.

So CW, since you're a big Hugh Jackman fan, what do you think of his latest venture?

Real Steel? Really? I think they just made the movie for the title, which is absolutely terrible. When I first saw the trailer, my initial thought was it's a story of a futuristic version of Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots. I've heard of a ton of people say the same thing. People don't have much of an interest in watching real boxing anymore. I highly doubt there would be much of a following for robot boxing.

Now, if someone made an Electric Football movie...that's a different story.

In related news, isn't "Hugh Jackman" one of those names that you hear and think, "adult film industry?" In fact, I would argue Hugh Jackman is such a quintessential porn name that if I heard it as a leading man in a porn, I would say it's almost too obvious; like "Karl Hungus" from The Big Lebowski. His name might as well be Rod Hardwood. It's amazing to me that he has made a name for himself as an actual actor.

Even though Hugh Jackoffmen is clearly the best actor EVER, no, I do not think I'll be going to see Real Steel.

Yeah, it's pretty much the perfect porn name. I think it's pretty much a miracle that he has made it as a legit and renowned actor.

The new series on SyFy called "Alphas" is ok. It's not great, but not terrible. It did have potential and looked like it could be pretty cool, but it doesn't totally live up to those expectations I had from the previews a few weeks ago. So I wouldn't call it must-watch TV by any stretch of the imagination. It's only on episode 3 though, which was tonight. And it was the best episode yet. Actually, it was pretty enjoyable.
The last episode of the first season was last week. It actually turned out to be a pretty good show. I really enjoyed watching it every week.

On Sy Fy channel, so obviously you won't see too much advertising or whatever for it. Definitely infinitely better than the stupid Alien Noah Wiley show (I can't even remember the name right now hahaha) and Terra Nova (so far.)

Saw Hanna.

There was a lot of potential here, I thought. I did enjoy the unbelievability of a 14 (I'm guessing) year old girl beating up grown men and doing pull ups like they were nothin.

I just about turned it off and had a "done as a society" moment when I thought they were about to do an adolescent girl on girl scene...and then they didn't. Even for DFS that would have been too much. Watching the movie beside a Swamp donkey, it was an awkward moment.

Decent premise, poor execution. I took nothing from the movie. Don't bother.
