While I'm sure this was covered earlier, the wife wanted to watch "The Hangover Part II" last night because she was a big fan of the first one. It was, as any of you who have seen it can attest, literally the same movie with a different setting. I found it almost unwatchable because they just kept making the same jokes, over and over again. Instead of Mike Tyson's tiger, it was a Buddhist monk. Instead of Doug, it was Teddy. Instead of the roof, it was... you get it.

Anyway, aside from a few cheap laughs the only bright spot was Zack Galifianakis who was funny as the same character, Allen.

Anyway, one of my favorite parts was when Allen takes over the best man speech at the rehearsal dinner (early in the movie) and starts listing geographic and demographic facts about Thailand to all the people that were there. Who were all, of course, from Thailand.

Crazy Stupid Love = 3/10. Mariss Tomi and Emma Stone are sexy though.

50/50 = 8/10. Thought it was great.

Tim and Eric's Billion Dollar Movie was on HDNet Movies so I watched it. I honestly don't even know who Tim and Eric are, but regardless, this movie was not funny. It was just stupid. And really dumb. I did not enjoy and could barely even finish watching it.

I give it like a 1 out of 10.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Some new movie called [REC]3 Genesis was on HDNet movies for the Wednesday new free movie night.

Apparently the first two "[REC]" movies are supposed to be really good, or classics, or something? I don't know, I haven't seen them and that's just what I read on the IMDB comments.

This movie though.... ehhhh, I certainly wouldn't ever pay to watch it. At least it was short, and had some solid zombie/blood scenes.

The Spanish [REC] is better than the American [REC], although they are both pretty solid. I didn't even know there was a 2nd or 3rd one.

What happened to all the more recent posts from this thread?

The third one that I watched was in Spanish, yeah. I didn't even know there was an American one lol.

There were no other more recent posts in this thread. Are you thinking of the other "Awesome Movies Discussion" thread?

Ahh yea the American [Rec] is actually called Quarantine.

For some reason I thought this was the other thread. I always forget to add movies to this thread. Like Battleship. That was pretty bad. You have to have an IQ of <50 to be able to enjoy that movie I think.

Oh really, damn I didn't know that lol! I've actually seen Quarantine. It was ok, but nothing special. Had a few scary moments... but again, nothing special at all.

Yeah, Battleship. Ugh. I thought it would be ok and critics were just hating on the premise of it. But no, that movie definitely sucked. It didn't even have a ton of action. They should have had a ton more action and sweet special effects, and a lot less of what they actually had. Very disappointed in that movie, even though I went in with incredibly low expectations. :S

If any of you were planning on watching V/H/S... just don't. It is horrible and stupid and a waste of time. I watched it for free on HDNet Movies, so I guess I can't complain too much. I'm just glad I didn't pay any money to see it.

I had a free movie ticket that I had to use up before it expired, so I went to Killing Them Softly . Ugh... not a good movie. Probably the worst Brad Pitt movie I've ever seen. Don't waste your time or money on it if you haven't already.

Very slow pacing, not enough action at all, and the "message" is just over done. I don't want to see politics stuff in a movie that is supposed to be a gangster flick (it wasn't, really.) I give it like maybe a 3 or 4 out of 10.

Well I guess that explains why I've seen basically no advertising for it. I'll probably still Redbox it. How would you rank the following movies:

Killing Them Softly
Contraband
The Bourne Legacy

It's worth a Redbox if you really want to see it. I mean, it's just a dollar which is truly a great deal.

I'd rank them 1) Contraband, 2) Bourne, 3) Killing Them Softly

Thanks for the heads up. Was going to check that out at some point, but now I'll probably skip it.
