I just watched the previews for a movie called Push and it inspired me to add this thread. This thread can be useful to save everyone hours of there life and money in there pockets.

Max Payne- I think CW went in depth on this movies crappyness. I will agree with what he said because this movie was horrible.

Star Trek: Dude for real, I hate Star Trek hopefully you all feel the same.

Push: I dont know what exactly this is about but if it has anything to do or is anything like Jumper it will be well deserved to be on this list. I like to call Jumper the emo Xmen.

Notorious: Just let the man rest in peace. Have they ever made a good biography movie. I also heard the Lebron James biography movie is on its way to irritate us. Maybe they will have the part were David Stern rigs the draft.

Great work jbird. This thread was definitely needed. I've seen too many Not Awesome Movies, and would NOT want anyone else to have to suffer through them as well. Howl.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Comically as I was watching the ad for Push I said to myself... "Is this Jumper 2 without Anakin Skywalker? I never saw Jumper.. I wonder if it is any good?"

My questions now seem to all have answers.

I saw Notorious, it was fine, not terrible. Hollywood for sure, but that was to be expected.
On the other hand The Curious Case of Benjamin Button was a curious piece of shit...
talk about a mess, basically Big Fish x Forrest Gump.
I suppose some of the graphics were cool, and parts of the film were nice to look at, but this movie is way overrated!

The best film of last year IMO was the swedish film Let the Right One In

I've heard nothing but great things for Slumdog Millionaire. Has anyone seen it? If anyone goes, please post a review.

P.S. What other craptastic movie did I see lately besides Max Payne. Ummm... I can't remember. I wanted to see Notorious, but maybe I should save my money if it's not great. Theatre's are expensive these days. :(

Slumdog Millionaire was a very good, yet not great movie, imo.
Assuming you don't know the premise:

A young 'slumdog' goes on India's Who Want's to be a Millionaire and miraculously answers every question winning the game, leading the authorities to question if he was cheating.
The kid then goes on to tell the stories throughout his life that explain how he knew the answers, and in the end doesn't care if he wins the money or not, but only wants the girl he's loved since he was young.

A very good film, especially amongst this years selections. (Did it seem like a weak year for movies or what?) I was just hoping it would have been a little more unique... For instance, there were many moments when I could here the collective sigh of movie-going mom's in the theatre. no offense to any mom's...just a little cutesy at times...

yeah, movies are too expensive for real..matinees are the way to go

I knew the basic story, but not much else. Thanks Slimpickens. An appreciative Howl for you.

Max Payne = Stupid. Hated it. My roommate has a tendency to get amazingly bad movies with his girlfriend. This was one of them.

7 Pounds - I loved it. I have a CW/Ryan Gomes type of Will Smith infatuation though, so take it for what it's worth. I also thought the first half of Hancock was brilliant and hilarious. Most people hated it because of the second half of the movie. I just stop paying attention when it gets silly.

Gran Turino = Hilarious. I'm not sure if the comedic value of the movie is intentional or not though...The acting is the worst I've seen in a long time. The movie has a good premise and is done ok though. It was worth my time for the moral of the story and for the quotables throughout the movie by the ol' bigot Eastwood.

Was it really that bad? I wanted to see it.. Looks like I'm not going to anymore. Just wait until it comes out on DVD.
Still talking about Max Payne?? Haha. That movie was HORRIBLE. I didn't even play the video games or know what was going on. I didn't even know anything about Max Payne.
Since we're talking about old movies has anyone seen "Pride and Glory"? The movie about cops in New York? Or should I say dirty cops in New York. That was a good movie. It was pretty shocking to me.
The last movie I saw was what you guys would consider a chick flick, so I'm not going to share. :silly:

Wow. I've never been ordered to do anything.
Sure, I'll share. I saw the "Brides War". I enjoyed it. It's about two friends who share a dream since they were younger. They wanted to get married in June at this certain place. Fast Forward to years later and it's become a reality, both are engaged. Problem is when they scheduled their weddings the person who scheduled them accidentally put them on the same day. Neither is willing to reschedule. It sabotages a friendship etc, etc.
I thought it was funny and cute.

But that's just me.

See... now that wasn't so hard, was it?

P.S. I have never heard of that movie.

I won't lie. It was a little hard. The last time this guy asked me about "Pride and Glory" all I could say was, "It's about Cops in New York..." I'm not good at describing what the movie was about.
The movie has Anne Hathaway and Kate Hudson in it.

I want to see My Bloody Valentine in 3-D, Taken, and Seven Pounds.
So if anyone's seen My Bloody Valentine, care to share?

Any movie associated with WWE sucks. Best example, 'The Marine' with John Cena... Worst movie ever
