End of Watch was pretty good I thought. I had a free movie ticket, so I thought I'd check it out on cheap food and drink movie Tuesdays.

It takes a few liberties with some stuff that happens with the main characters, but it is just a movie after all. Still, it was better than I had expected and I think it's worth watching. Pena was probably the best actor in the film, but Jake G. was pretty solid too.

It was also a pretty intense flick, which made it better.

Got a pretty decent movie through NetFlix recently - "Whiteout" with Kate Beckinsale as a US Marshall assigned to a station in Anarctica. Starts with a Russian plane carrying some secret cargo and the some of the crew is going to hijack the cargo. Big shoot'em up ensues and the plane crashes in the snow. Fast forward 50 yrs and dead bodies start turning up in and at her station. Leave the rest to you!

Not a bad action flick. And it has Beckinsale!

Been kind of watching here - keeping track. Saw about K-Love - that's a bummer! Seriously.

Kind of - well, OK, very - involved with the election process. Nothing serious - just watching, listening and commenting on things. My degree is in PoliSci. I was kind of uninvolved for awhile - think much of it had to do with the choices available - until the recent few years.

Don't know where your loyalties lay, but I suspect I can make a pretty good guess. You've seen my pic, bro.

It's cool Obama is President, yeah for sure. I mean, I voted for him. BUT REALLY, it doesn't freakin matter who the eff is the President. Well, unless you are super duper uber rich. Then you probably care. But for 80% of America (the non-SUPER rich and the non-SUPER poor), it doesn't really matter. Anyone could be "President" and your daily life is going to be basically the same.

So yeah, whatever. That's all I've got to say about "politics."

I watched some movies recently. American Pyscho, which I haven't seen in over 10 years. Christian Bale is awesome. He's one of my top 5 actors, along with Denzel (#1 overall you know it!) Good flick.

And I finally got to watch Inglourious Basterds in its entirety. Really good movie. Christoph Waltz is just fantastic. He clearly deserved his academy award. I just wish the movie would have been more about the Basterds. They were the most interesting/engaging characters for sure.

House of Flying Daggers was decent enough. Not great or my favorite movie, but still a solid watch. Looked really nice on Blu Ray.
