Only one behind now in The Killing (plan to be realtime Sunday). I knew that teacher was getting dragged into it soon. If I had to bet on who committed the crime right now it'd be the female cop's fiancée. Really a good show.

I've been waiting for the first suspect who ends up be falsely accused. Seems like that is coming for teach.

No way. It was definitely the KAHHHHHHNman.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Yeah... it really is a good show. I am liking more and more each week.

Weren't Jasper and Kris Echols already falsely accused? I feel like they were.

Before all is said and done, I think we'll have reason(s) to suspect everyone could have potentially done it. Here are some darkhorse candidates I have for whodunnit and/or are responsible in some way: The mom, the dad's bearded friend/co-worker guy Belko (he seems overly concerned/worried), and/or stud awesome cop Holder.

To obvious but Kahn be held for some other crime.

I love the things they've alluded to but haven't explained

1. Councilman - family died?
2. Cop (female) - a girl died and traumatized her in some way?
3. Stan (Dad) - mob ties, can't wait for him to kick someones ass
4. Jasper and Druggy - freaking out about cops knowing something but clearly the cops don't know what it is.
5. Cop (Male) - What's his story? Drug problem?

Jasper and Kris were kinda but not really. No one has been charged with the crime and the press/family hasn't gotten a hold of it. At no point did everyone say "we've got out guy now we just need to prove it".

Yeah agreed on them giving us reason to think everyone could be guilty. I keep thinking about the Mom but I just don't know. It'll be hard to reconcile how she has behaved early on if it is now supposedly all an act. She is the character behaving least suspiciously which is why you have to think about her.

Same issue with Holder... how can they believably show him alone doing good police work and then expect us to believe he wasn't trying to solve the crime.

Those two would be hard to pull off. My reasoning for the fiancee is that it'd be devastating to the main character and be someone who you don't think is involved at this point.

I like the stuff they are alluding to as well. Keeps the show very interesting, and not just about the singular murder of the girl.

As for Holder the cop, I don't know what the secret is with him. There's DEFINITELY something there though, and I think it will be pretty interesting when revealed.

The way they did the episodes they definitely wanted everyone to at least think that Jasper and Kris were guilty. Obviously it was waaaaay too early in the season though for them to be the actual criminal.

The mom could be behaving like that out of guilt, rather than grief. Not saying she's guilty, but it's just a thought.

Good point about Holder though. If he's guilty then it undermines the entire show. And he's awesome, so I don't want him to be guilty. There is some secret with him though. It will probably be something somewhat scandalous, but not really damaging or illegal. Like maybe he has 6 different baby mamas to support, or something like that. Which could also be why he's on his self-imposed celibacy kick. :silly: :woohoo:

Great guess on the fiancee. I never really thought of him at all until you mention it. He's a definite darkhorse candidate.

Not sleeping with underage high school girls = celibacy kick. CW, CW, CW...:pinch:

Yeah I hear what you are saying about the Mom, I just don't think the show works as well if the parents aren't truly both victims. The fact that she was bound and put in the trunk removes the shit got out of hand and she died when I was trying to bring her home safe angle. It also makes it very hard to believe a woman did it for strength reasons, but you can get around that one.

I think Holder's secret is that he's a user. When he is in the interrogation room with the junkie kid, the kid says, "do they know you got the itch too" or something like that. And plus he used to be an undercover narc so it would make sense if he got addicted.

My guess for the whodunnit right now is Richmond the guy running for mayor.

Yeah... I guess that could be it, although it's not all the scandalous. Makes sense though.

Richmond could be a good guess, but seems a bit obvious. What would his motive have been? She accidentally found out something about that she shouldn't have? Or maybe he hired a henchman (or whomever) to do it for him?

I dunno about motive I'm just guessing. The only person that looks guilty is the teacher but it's probably not him.

So Bennett's wife did it and he helped her cover it up? That seems like a big time let-down explanation to this entire thing. And there have only been 6 episodes (of 13) so far, and they have already told the end? That can't be right...

Hopefully there is much more to this, although it sure does appear that everything they are telling us is what actually happened. I would guess there are a lot more twists coming. Hopefully.

Well this contributes to my theory of Bennet being the first wrongly accused except it seems that he is certainly somewhat involved. I like that we aren't being racked over the coals of stupid cops. Holder getting money was a nice piece of added intrigue.

At this point there is ZERO reason for the Richmond plot. He has no meaningful tie to the girl. That will change in the next 6 episodes.

Is the Mother's sister involved?

How much time has passed? It feels like a lot but the funeral just happened. I think it mainly seems like a lot because that fiancée won't chill out and he demands the cop to be on a plan every 8 hours. Chill out dude, your misses has work to do.

There is one thing that doesn't ring true to me... everyone avoiding them so blatantly. Customers cancelling and the woman in the grocery store shunning. Do they have no other close friends and family but his business partner and her sister? Rosie just had 1 friend? I get that they are keeping the character list in check but it is somewhat silly.

Yeah, good call on Bennett being wrongly accused. I have to believe that's somehow the case here, because there is so much of the show left. But I mean... obviously he has SOMETHING to do with it. It just really seems like he and his wife are responsible. If not, I am very intrigued as to how they are going to change it up and make someone else guilty.

There is definitely more to Richmond. It seems like a stretch that all these people can be involved and have secrets and whatnot, but I think they do a reasonably good job of adding intrigue and making it all work. I am sure we'll find out Richmond's secret(s) later.

Yeah the Mom or her sister definitely have secret(s)... like everyone else. (SIDENOTE: Do any of the adults in this show NOT have some sort of skeletons?!?)

Each episode is a day. I think they show that at the bottom of the screen when each new episode starts? So it's been 6 episodes... and the first episode was Sunday night or Monday (I forget), like about 2 days-ish after she was killed. So that means it's been 2 + 5 (five more episodes after the first one) = 7 days since she's been murdered. So yeah, the fiancee guy is kinda strange. I wonder what his deal is? That would be intriguing if he was involved somehow, but I just don't see it in a reasonable manner.
