I'm not bitching because they decided to deviate from the book, I couldn't care less about that. I'm bitching because all the deviations from the book are boring and add absolutely nothing to the show. The stuff in the book is way better than this generic cliche romantic interest bs and other crap.

All I know is that Stannis is the hardest king next to Tywin because both ride into battle head first sword-a-swingin, fuck the bullshit. Stannis was laying it down on that wall until Tywin showed up, that sonofabitch.

Yeah, exactly. They should have kept to the books like they did in Season 1, or instead just not add any of that made-up stuff. Either decision would have made the show better.

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Why? Since I've never read the books it's all made up to me and it's all on point. And it's only "made up stuff" if you are expecting it to exactly follow the books. Apparently this show is supposed to stand alone. It's loosely based on the books but is its own show.

And your two options are exactly the same and leave the only option as following the books. Not adding made-up stuff IS following the books, right? Did you mean to type it that way or am I reading it wrong?

Well I meant they could try to follow the books exactly, or they could just cut out stuff as they saw fit to shape the show. So yes, either way I guess it's following the books, but just to what extent.

I suppose it doesn't matter to someone that didn't read the books though... as they wouldn't know and would just enjoy the show. I guess they can't really go wrong either way.

It's still an awesome show, don't get me wrong.

Woo awesome episode.

Assemble a GoT dream team to conquer the world. You can only have 5 people on your team and no more than 3 guys, and characters you pick must still be alive (no Ned Stark or Khal Drogo).

My Picks

1. Tywin Lannister - smart, ruthless, great commander.
2. Robb Stark/Grey Wind - great war general, good fighter, tons of potential. The most well-rounded character.
3. The Hound - a total badass and probably the 2nd best fighter in the Seven Kingdoms after Jamie Lannister.
4. Melisandre her Lord of Light powers are too good to pass up, although I'll get a serious amount of bad karma from having her on the team.
5. Cersei Lannister - because she's good at politics, self-preservation, and being a conniving bitch.

Other People I Considered:

-Daenerys Targaryen: if her dragons were fullgrown she'd be an obvious pick, and probably should be on the team anyways because of potential and hotness.
-Tyrion Lannister: the smartest and most level-headed character. I'm thinking I should have put him on the team and switched Cersei for someone else, but oh well.
-Jon Snow/Ghost: because he's cool and well-rounded like Robb.
-Arya Stark/Nymeria: awesome character, but too young for my dream team.
-Sansa Stark: she is redeeming herself, I think she will be a really important character in the future.
-Barristan Selmy: the most famous and respected knight in the seven kingdoms.
-Osha: the wildling woman with Bran & Rickon. she's smart and a badass and I would like to pick her, but the competition is too tough among the women.
-Thoros of Myr: I don't think he's in the show, but in the book he and Beric Dondarrion are sent by Ned Stark to arrest The Mountain for his war crimes. They lead a small group of fighters that terrorize the Lannister armies using guerrilla tactics. He is a priest of the Lord of Light and carries a flaming sword into battle and has the power to resurrect dead people.

I didn't consider Jamie Lannister, Stannis Barantheon, or The Mountain, because they each have something about them that I wouldn't want on my team.

Avoid at All Costs

Joffrey the Psycho - sociopath
Balon Greyjoy - sociopath
Theon Greyjoy - traitor
Littlefinger - can't be trusted

Here is the characters:

For some reason, now whenever I try to put clickable links in, it screws up my posts.

Cool, thanks.

Not sure what is up with the links. Sometimes they work perfectly, and other times they make your post totally blank. So strange.

I have found that if you just do "www." and then the link, that works fine and makes it clickable. Sucks you can't rename it and shorten it though. Did you try that for the Wiki one above?

Awesome idea RH. I'd go with...

My Picks

1. Tyrion Lannister - Will be the advisor to my war general below. Smart, ruthless, cunning. He's epic and awesome in all ways except just not a great warrior. (But he's not a bad warrior!)
2. Robb Stark/Grey Wind - great war general, good fighter, tons of potential. The most well-rounded character. <--- Concur again. Plus he's got a pimp dire wolf with him. Can't go wrong here.
3. Jon Snow/Ghost - Thought long and hard about this one. Robb is my war general, so I want someone that will listen/follow him. I would have liked a stud warrior like The Hound or the Mountain, or even Jaime... but would any of them follow Robb? Jon and Robb are brothers and would fight for each other. Plus then I get a second awesome Dire wolf in my army. Plus I don't want Tywin contradicting Robb or Tyrion.
4. Daenerys Targaryen - Hot. And I wait for a while to get me some badass dragons. Yes please.
5. Brienne of Tarth - Awesome warrior, (and that partly makes up for not taking a Clegane or Jaime.) Loyal. Trustworthy. Honorable. I'll take her.

Other People I Considered:

-The Hound/The Mountain/Jaime Lannister: Some of the best warriors in Westeros. I just don't think they'd mesh well with Robb as their leader. Plus, can you trust them all?
-Tywin Lannister: Had to take him or Tyrion for sure. Plus super rich.
-Arya Stark/Nymeria: awesome character, but too young for my dream team. <--- Agree she's awesome, but too young.
-Sansa Stark: she is redeeming herself, I think she will be a really important character in the future. <--- Agree again.
-Osha: the wildling woman with Bran & Rickon. she's smart and a badass and I would like to pick her, but the competition is too tough among the women. <--- I considered her, but would rather have Brienne.
-Loras Tyrell: Awesome warrior, could definitely be useful. But he's gay and I don't want him trying to seduce my war general.
-Shae: Would be good to have for keeping Tyrion happy, useful, and loyal, etc.
-Gendry: Strong and a good person. Could see him becoming very important later, like Arya.
-Jaqen H'ghar: Because he's awesome in the books, and would probably turn out to be pretty damn useful in my army. Like a freakin super uber ninja.

Balon Greyjoy - sociopath <--- Agree
Theon Greyjoy - traitor <--- Agree
Littlefinger and Varys - can't be trusted <--- Totally agree

In the short-term, my team would slaughter your team on the battlefield and in the political game.

You team has better longterm viability because of Daenerys and Robb/Jon/Tyrion synergy, whereas I have Tywin who is pretty old and my team has some serious self-combustion potential.

I'm in win now mode.

Ha! I'm building an epic dynasty for the future. Plus things go slow in the books, so I've got nothing but time!

1. Daenerys Targaryen - you already know
2. Cersei Lannister - crazy, but she can get it
3. Shae - nothing like a good prostitute
4. Talisa - She is bangin
5. Melisandre - Crazy but sort of sexy

Team to win a war? eh, later for that. This was more fun for now.

Robb Stark
Arya Stark
Bran Stark
Jon Snow
Daenerys Targaryen

All the Stark kids are smart, strong, brave, and righteous. I got a couple kids in there but they have a lot of potential. Daenerys because she has dragons and a nice ass.

Magic, dragon fire, and zombies. fyck yes.

Robb is getting caught up in Love and is probably going to weaken his position dramatically when ol' boy hears about it. His stock is dropping.

Dany is finally on the come up, ready to sail back to Westeros. I'd recommend she sail nowhere near King's Landing.

I'm heated that Tyrion is left in the cold. No credit, no love. Things can't end up well for him. This makes me sad. I hope things turn up for him.

The kids in this show are in bad spots. Poor young Sansa is in a bad spot. She has to rely on tricky LittleFinger now to survive. Arya is trekking with her two road dogs but had to turn down magic man J-Kwon (I don't remember his real name). That dude is the sh*t.

My Real Team
1. Dany (It's an either or with her or Cersei but they couldn't coexist)
2. J-Kwon the magic man
3. Bronn (What happened to him after the battle? Did he live?)
4. Robb Stark
5. Mance Raydar...can I do that? I'll take his wildling army.
