Magic, dragon fire, and zombies. fyck yes.

Robb is getting caught up in Love and is probably going to weaken his position dramatically when ol' boy hears about it. His stock is dropping.

Dany is finally on the come up, ready to sail back to Westeros. I'd recommend she sail nowhere near King's Landing.

I'm heated that Tyrion is left in the cold. No credit, no love. Things can't end up well for him. This makes me sad. I hope things turn up for him.

The kids in this show are in bad spots. Poor young Sansa is in a bad spot. She has to rely on tricky LittleFinger now to survive. Arya is trekking with her two road dogs but had to turn down magic man J-Kwon (I don't remember his real name). That dude is the sh*t.

My Real Team
1. Dany (It's an either or with her or Cersei but they couldn't coexist)
2. J-Kwon the magic man
3. Bronn (What happened to him after the battle? Did he live?)
4. Robb Stark
5. Mance Raydar...can I do that? I'll take his wildling army.
His name is Jaqen H'ghar. He's a huge stud. I really considered him and should have picked him.

Bronn is still alive, yeah. At least in the books he is.

I think you could pick Mance, but I don't think that you'd be allowed to have an army of 100,000 wildings as well. Like, if you picked Stannis or Tywin, you wouldn't get their armies either.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Yea, RH put his name, I just don't like trying to remember these names so I make nicknames.

So we're putting together a team for a 5 on 5 death match? Well then of course my choices change. The Mountain (or Jon Snow), Jamie, Bronn, The Hound, and Brielle.

No it's not just 5 vs 5 combat. The characters that have armies bring their armies and lands with them. But keep in mind that other people pick some of the same people (we all picked Robb) or me and CW both picked Lannisters, so in essence the size of their armies is inconsequential.

Picking Mance Raydar would bring a wildling army, but the 100,000 number is total number of wildlings, including women and children. Probably less than half that are battle ready, and 5-10 wildlings would be worth 1 fully-armed knight in battle.

Robb has an army of only 20,000, but has defeated the Lannisters every time who have an army of like 60,000 or something. Stannis' army is like 100,000.

Emphasis should be placed on picking a balanced team, with army/land/wealth as a minor consideration. But for instance, Dany has no army at all, and would be completely useless until she gets one or her dragons grow up because she doesn't really excel at anything. That's why I didn't pick her.

You can only have a maximum of 3 guys on your team.

Why does Robb recite the names of the new gods at his wedding? Starks are descended from the First Men and believe in the old gods.

Damn that was a good episode. They saved the best for last.

Not a fan of the zombie white walkers though. I imagined them more like 7 foot white creatures with icy blue eyes.

Ahh, I definitely forgot to comment on the white walkers' appearance. That seemed lazy. Why make them like every other zombie we've ever seen? They drag their feet move slow. They are not very menacing and a simple batch of Tyrion's magic fire would wear them out real quick. They should have blazing speed and Wolverine claws or something.

OK, I'll try again. I get it.

In the books, is the white walker king still a rational zombie-person or is this just a group of mindless eaters like Walking Dead? If his army is able to be harnessed, that makes a difference.

Wow yeah, that's exactly what I had envisioned too! I agree they screwed them up on the show.

I would say we would have to go with what's on the show for all the characters and whomever, as that is what everyone here has seen.

There is no White Walker king in the book. In the book, they are more like powerful supernatural beings that wear armor and carry weapons. As far as I know, there are no actual White Walker characters or individuals.

They definitely aren't mindless though, because they have that deal with Craster where they leave him alone as long as he sacrifices all the baby boys to them.

Just started this and am through episode 2. Havent read a word in here so I am assuming you all really like this one, given the length of this thread and the unanimous critical acclaim this show has received.

Wow... what a well done show to start. A little lacking in the backstory explanation but I assume much of it will come together over time.

Glad you're caught up. Show is that deal. Nothing better out, except videos on 12Society.com.
