Ehh. It has me intrigued, for sure. But I don't really feel much for any of the actors, other than the main character, Darryl, and the Korean kid.

Shane is what 99% of dudes are in this world, horny. He's wrong for going in on his boy's wife asap, though. My guess is that he dies in the second season being the hero, sacrificing himself to save ol boy's wife or son.

The wife, now there is a slut. Your husband dies (or so you think) and months later you're f*cking his best friend? Jesus. Get a grip. NO sympathy for her situation.

most of the remaining actors are unremarkable. The plot and developments have me intrigued, however.

There are a few holes, but every show has holes, I suppose.

Oh, I forgot about the Doc's whisper into SuperCop's ear. Did you all discuss what you think he said? My guess:
- Doc had a camera on his wife when Shane was trying to rape her/take what was rightfully his. Sh*t would hit the fan if that's the case.

Nice, you already finished it. I have no idea what Doc whispered. I read somewhere though that we WOULD find out what was said in Season 2. I think its got to involve the other characters (aka Shane and his Wife, or someone else)... as it would be pretty lame if he just had whispered something like "go to so and so mountain range where you'll be safe forever." Eh.

I'm pretty excited for season 2. AMC rocks, and they'll have more time and episodes to really flesh things out this time around. Should be good.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

She thought he was dead and like 6 months had passed. I don't think it is as bad as you are making it seem. If anyone is at fault it is Shane for jumping the bones of his best friend's wife.

Good review and huge ratings. One thing I don't agree with in the review is that they called "Dale" a not very interesting character. I think he's one of the coolest and most interesting characters on the show. I like him.

I just started watching it. I'm at the part where the RV breaks down. One thing I never understood is why they drive such crappy old vehicles. A couple of new Escalades/Navigators/Jeeps/Hummers would be way better than the crap they are driving now. Have they ever explained this? It seems like a massive plothole. I know in Season 1 the asian kid was driving a brand new Challenger in one of the episodes and then they scrapped it for parts or something. Wtf.

I don't think it's too huge of a plot hole. I think one reason is they just haven't seen any of those vehicles in good condition sitting on the side of the road with the keys in them?

Also, it would be super duper risky to drive the entire caravan into a big city just to go searching around for a new vehicle. And then that new vehicle most likely would need fuel still as well.

Plus they get bad gas mileage, but then again so does the RV. Maybe it uses diesel though? And it would have a huuuuge tank.

That ancient RV has to get terrible gas mileage not to mention it breaks down about every other episode. Why don't they at least get a new RV? Most of the new ones are diesel as well. It would be super easy to find one at an RV lot, parked in a driveway, sitting around, etc.

That old SUV they have no doubt gets really bad gas mileage as well.

And Daryl driving that chopper around is just beyond stupid. Every zombie within a mile radius would hear that thing.

All fair points. Maybe it is a plot hole then. Still, I think it would be dangerous to go try to find a new vehicle unless they found one in good condition somewhere along the road. However, we haven't really seen too many vehicles like that yet just sitting around.

The previews for the rest of the season look really good. They shouldn't have shown the helicopters though because now we know there is a base and lots of people alive.

Also saw previews for this new AMC show, Hell on Wheels. Looks pretty awesome. I think it starts November 6th or somewhere around there.

Oh yea I didn't remember that. But in the upcoming previews they show at least 3 army helicopters flying together so I'm guessing there's a large group of people at the base.

Finally watched it. I think Dale is one of my favorite characters, behind Darryl and the Korean guy.

Good catch about the vehicles, I never thought of that.

Also, while they checked all those vehicles on the highway, Dale was on the roof playing lookout and then all of a sudden he sees a horde of zombies 30 feet in front of him? No, his vantage point would have allowed him to see sooo far to have warned everyone to get back.

Another point. Remember the first episode when Supercop (take off your fucking uniform and stupid hat, you're not a cop anymore) couldn't shoot those bad guys in the overturned car no matter how many times he shot at them? Now his aim is incredible with a pistol when he's shooting zombies...that is weird.

I'm excited to see who shot lil' homie. That was all bad. Unexpected.

Still haven't watched Season 2 at all. Curious how the show will develop with a camp/technology/more resources involved. One of the more ideal parts of the show for me was the whole idea of a survivor camp in the woods and the bare-boned survivor/human elements involved. I hope it doesn't get all mainstream 'Bazookas/tanks/bombs/explosions/military' on everything.....

From the looks of it's the new characters they meet were out hunting or something and didn't see him. In the previews they show them at a farmhouse with a new group of people.

I think they should make the lost little girl turn into a zombie and infect her annoying mom :silly:
