TOPIC: What excuses are there now for KG???

What excuses are there now for KG??? 5 years 2 weeks ago #12479

I suppose now it is the defense of Ray Allen...

The coaching of Rivers...

PJ Brown not living to expectations...

Pierce and Rondo quitting...

The refs...

The dirty Hawks pushing the messiah...I mean KG...

I am probably missing a few excuses...but I will be interested in hearing the line of excuses for KG as he again is going to fail to take his team to the NBA finals...

I agree, now that he's not on the Twolves any more I can look at his game with a little more unbiased.

He completely disappeared last night in the 4th quarter.

It is really not hard to see Roundhouse that KG's dissappearance in the playoffs is rearing it's ugly head. He is letting no name Hawks push him around...The defensive player of the year is no where to be found in crucial moments of this series.

They will probably win tomorrow simply because of the Garden, but they will have a HUGE problem with the Cavs, Magic or Detroit.

Truly I can respect KG;s game, but we are seeing again, no matter who is around him on his team, he does not show up for the big game. And no, not that series clinching shot against the Kings erases all other times where just in this series he gets his shots blocked down the stretch...

Yes it is really dissappointed that he is nowhere to be found in the 4th quarter.

After he wins a ring it's not going to tarnish his legacy.

I will agree with you that he has not been dominating the offensive end, but his defense has been spectacular. Helping out, rotating, blocking shots, getting steals and rebounds. You are completely wrong with that statement... just because you hate KG. I'd be willing to bet you haven't even watched a complete Celtics-Hawks game so far this playoffs.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

No I have not watched a whole Celtic/Hawk playoff game. What does that matter???

The fact is the series is tied at 3 and no one expected it...and KG has not played well in the 4th quarter when it really counts...

One does not have to watch the whole games to know what is going on. I predicted this when I joined this forum...

Because you are making comments like \"The defensive player of the year is no where to be found in crucial moments of this series\", when in fact he has. He's been playing really good defense actually. He's been playing by far the best defense of anyone on the team. The reason they are losing is because of times when guys like Ray Allen are guarding Joe Johnson 1on1, or when guys are left open to knock down open jumpers. I suppose all that is KG's fault too? If you had watched any of the games you would know everything I just said, and then not make asinine comments without having actually watched the games.

Would it be all KG's fault? No.

The games that I have seen were games 4 and 6. And in the 4th quarted KG and the whole team fadded. I saw KG get his shot blocked twice by Horford down the stretch. I saw Pierce lose the ball in a crucial part of game 4. Was KG making shot down the stretch? Was he blocking Joe Johnson's shots? The question remains, Is the best player on the planet, as KG was nicknamed here during his playing time showing up in crucial times in this series? I suppose the Celtics brought Ray Allen to be the one to bring them all the way. Yeah that's it. Let's put the blame on Ray Allen.

This is all mute really at this point because I am sure the Celtics will

What pisses me off about KG though is that he now is playing amazing defense. Where was that the last couple seasons for the Wolves? Just goes to show that he took advantage of the Minnesota fans as well as Glen Taylor's checkbook...not saying he isn't the only one to blame but come on! If you're gettin paid the big dollars you gotta have the passion no matter where or what your playin for! KG's performance with the Celts this year just goes to show that we got straight Rick Rolled in his last couple seasons in MN...kinda supports the notion that he's never been a \"true leader\" of any squad he has played on...

To be fair Ray Allen is waayyyyyyy overrated. He doesn't play any defense and has a lot of games where he cannot hit a shot to save his life.

Agreed. Bonk and I talked about Ray Allen being the \"weak link\" so to speak on the KG Cast #6. I think RA is completely overrated and he should never have made the AS game this year (even if he was a reserve.) I can't believe how horrible he has looked out on the court this series (and at parts during the season too.) They are in big trouble if they expect RA to be an integral part of a championship team. He can't play defense to save his life.

When RA starts dribbling in traffic I just wait for the ball to be slapped away... and it usually is.
