To most of us KG fans we want the Celtics to win to get the \"he can't win the big one\" label off of KG's back. If they do get their $@#% together and win the championship KG's legacy will benefit greatly. I'm wondering though if it will benefit his as much as Paul Pierce's legacy.

For most of Pierce's career he has been another star SG in the league. If the C's have won the championship that will mean that Pierce has out dueled LeBron, the Detroit defense, and Kobe/Manu. I think it means a lot more to Pierce's legacy if it is Kobe he beats in the finals.

Garnett. He's the one constantly compared to Tim Duncan and other big men, plus he gets to be compared to MVPs. Even with a championship, no one outside of non-casual, non-Boston NBA fans will remember Paul Pierce 5 years after he retires. Garnett is either going to be in the conversations/debates about best forwards in NBA history with a championship and, without one, in the same \"best ever without a championship\" conversations with Karl Malone, Barkley, Ewing, and all the other first-ballot Hall of Famers that didn't catch the big one.
