So, I just feel like talkin some hoops this morning, bare with my ramblings...

Small Ball:
Saw the end of the Florida/LSU game last night. Calathes did seem hesistant to take any big shots down the stretch, as it was a tight game til the end, though he did seem to be having an off night, maybe he was makin the right decisions, idk. anyways, they lost.

Providence upsets #1 Pitt. Storming of the court was cool!
I wonder how DeJuan Blair will do in the pros? As of now, teams have to plan their game around him.
But he's only 6-7...265! gugh.

Prose:
KLove held to under 25 minutes again! I realize being a rookie, dude is not used to an 80 game season, but play him at least 30 minutes a game. The last two games we've been killed on the boards in the 4th. Why no love?!?

Anyone see Sczerbiak with the face mask? Looks real funny!

I'm rootin for the Cavs and Jazz as well. How fun is LeBron to watch? Just ridiculous!
Jerry Sloan better get Coach of the Year!
Maybe I'm just saying that cause he's never won the award! In how many seasons?! 20?!
Then give him a Lifetime Achievement award or something, cause to coach that long with the same team, and do so well is awesome! and this year the've had injuries left and right to deal with...

On the PG for C issue. I think the obvious answer is Center. But this ain't the year for it. At least in the draft.
On the other hand, can someone make a call to New Orleans and bring us Tyson Chandler!! please!

I think Marbury will do alright in Boston. and that Paul Pierce, more than any of em, will not tolerate his ish, and would put him in his place if he got out of line...

However, Celts aren't gonna repeat. It's the Cavs turn unless Kobe and the Lakers can say otherwise.

Very nice...I love these sort of posts. HOWL. I will try to respond with some ramblings of my own later. Wally Z in the facemask is hilarious! And I'm also with you on the Sloan thing... He, Pop, & Phil are the undisputed top 3 coaches in the L in my opinion.

Cheers Bonk!

Would love to hear more of your thoughts!

Another coach I really like is Orlando's Stan Van Gundy. He's gotta be mentioned in coach of the year talks as well.

I concur, very nice post! I also enjoy stuff like this... thanks Slim.

I have not watched much NCAAB this year. That makes me kinda sad, but I'm busy with other things and CW Jr. rocks hard. I think this year's field is one of the most open one in the past decade, in terms of who could win the championship. There are probably a dozen or so teams right now that have a very good chance, with probably another dozen or so that could win it if things go their way and they get lucky.

The longer I am a Wolves fan (sigh), the harder it is for me to "root" for any other teams to win the title. It's just not the same and there is a feeling of emptiness for me, even a little bit last year when the Celtics won. So, teams I would not mind if they won the title this year:

Celtics
Magic
Cleveland
Houston
Utah
Hornets
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."
