Celtics v. Heat: A great way to start the season – no doubt. Watching this game you expect some very good basketball out of both of these teams in the playoffs. Let’s start with the Celtics because they won and because they have the most awesomest duo in the world on their team…Nate Rob-G. Davis.
As a team the Celtics look like they are playing the first game of the season. The team had that KG, first game of the playoffs feel to them, you know the one – when KG shoots everything over the backboard, sets moving screens, dribbles off his foot – that feel. Somehow they managed to build a big lead through their defense. As expected, KG, Shaq, and Baby completely neutralized and intimidated RuBosh (more on him later). KG, after calming down in the second half, looked great. He is spry (for an old man) and just angry on defense. If Rambis has ANY clue what he’s doing he’ll have Love and the Euronators (Our WTP-->
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZjzMEIWdZU) watch KG’s rotations to learn how appear as if you’re covering more ground. I’d bet on 15 and 9 from KGeezy.
Rondo still can’t shoot…oh well! He’s awesome. Great facilitator. Looks great. Ray is still Ray…Pierce is still a whiner. Shaq is fit. J.O is fat. Baby is phat. Nate Rob can bench more than Anyone else. That is all…
The Heat are going to be fun to watch…when Riley replaces Spoelstra. Nice offense buddy…Déjà vu of Cleveland. Wade is trying to get his game right, it’ll take a few games. Still, there was no reason not to have Bosh more involved. He’s a ‘superstar’ right? Dumb. Anyway, their defense just won’t ever be great because of Bosh and ____(big by committee). Bosh is on an island…they should cut Joel Anthony and sign Ericka Dampier. Or not…If James would ever man up and learn how to play in the post they’d be straight. Can you imagine RuBosh, James, Miller, Wade, and Chalmers/House? KG can’t guard Lebron. Brandon Bass/Ryan Anderson/Lewis can’t guard Lebron. Pau and Odom can’t guard Lebron. But Lebron COULD guard them. He just needs to be taught to defend post players. He IS strong enough, for sure.
Alternately, throw out Haslem, Bosh, Miller, Wade, and Lebriggity and have Wade/James run point. The point is, with these two lineups they are making other teams match up with them instead of trying to worry about matching up with other teams…It’s a paradigm shift that could pay dividends come playoffs…
Haslem is still better than RuBosh (not really). I still have no clue who James Jones is. Eddie House still got slapped so hard by Rafer his headband turned around. Big Z is done. It would be more effective to play Arroyo at Center.
All in all, good game. The Celtics have lots to work on. The Heat have lots to work on. Both teams had better prepare for an a$$ whooping by the Wolves. They can’t match our WTP inside…
