So KG tore it up last night with 26 & 9 on an 11-15 night from the field, including 11 points in the final 7 minutes I believe... here are some awesome pics from the eve. Damn I miss this stuff happening here in Minny. But it sure is great to see him having this type of wild success! Enjoy:

It sent chills down my spine when Sportscenter showed him in his usual emotion filled Hulk-esque mode. An announcer could be heard saying he'd never seen intensity like that...ever.

At least we have Madsen. He's intense I guess.

I am trying to feel happy for KG, but honestly it's so hard for me to see anything Celtics related right now.

As I said in my response to Derok's front page post, I'm not gonna lie but I got goosebumps seeing KG pulling his jersey and celebrating. Good for him.
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Boston Celtics forward Kevin Garnett (5) bites his jersey after hitting a basket late in the second half of their basketball game against the Houston Rockets in Boston, Wednesday Jan. 2, 2008. The Celtics beat the Rockets 97-93.

Did you ever think you'd read that and think it's not only a completely serious caption, but also think it's incredibly awesome! I love KG!

And while it still stings a little bit knowing that this isn't happening with our team, the fact remains that McHale botched things up to the point where we would never have gotten to see this if Garnett had stayed. Things were too messed up. There was too much baggage.

You can't look at it as \"This should be happening with the Wolves\". You have to realize that we had two options - another season with KG in misery as we continue to lose with no hope of a better day, or what we have now - a real shot to rebuild and KG on cloud nine. I'm personally glad we have option two, and can't let myself slip into being dissatisfied that we don't have the unrealistic \"dream\" scenario of this happening with him on the Wolves.

It definitely is difficult seeing such passionate celebrating while our team sucks like none other. But I have to agree that KG brought us so many great moments, now it's time for him to be happy. And going to Boston was the only way for that to happen, so we have to support him.

Yeah, you're right. I'll get used to it eventually but my wounds haven't healed yet. I did watch the Celtics-Sonics game and did enjoy watching KG play, at times. Seeing the Celtics play is nothing short of beautiful basketball. It did take me a while to get used to Wally leaving, but I got over it eventually.

Wonderful post Derok. I couldn't have said it any better myself.

I can't WAIT for the playoffs!
