Well, the Celtics are rolling. Although, at some point, you gotta expect them to go on cruise control for 10 or so games. Given their injuries, the starters on that team are playing depressingly well. How has Rondo made four guys who, just last year, looked to be on the verge of mediocrity, look like all stars again?
With the way Diesel is playing right now, imagine how good they would be if they could put Perk or JON in the middle and play Shaq against second string players. He would no longer be the beneficiary of KG and Rondo then so, that might be a bad take. Either way, Shaq is playing his a$$ off.
Last night KG looked just plain stupid. It was vintage KG. I was waiting for him to get on all fours against Rose. Watching him and Noah battle is good basketball. Now that is good basketball. Physical, dirty, sh*t talking. Great.
It’s too bad Delonte is out. He is a pretty good role player. With him, Nate can play off the ball for 5-10 minutes and cause havoc. Somebody inject some objectivity here because I see the Celtics steamrolling the Magic, Bulls, and Heat on the way to the Finals.
Think about this. With a healthy KG = pretty dominant championship. With no KG = conference finals. With one legged KG = 6 points away from a championship. Now, add a healthy Ticket, JON (still an above average backup. He averaged what, 14 and 7 last year?), Shaq, and Delonte. How does that lineup not meet the Lake Show?

By the way, the best way to teach the sh*tty Wolves defense is probably to just watch Celtics game film. It’s the best model I’ve seen since the perimeter rule changes.

No objectivity to inject here. The C's are looking like one of, if not the, best teams in the entire league. And what's in the water for these old guys??? Because the Spurs are rolling too.

I dearly want to see the C's play with all their guys completely healthy. Oh my gosh, that would be one dominant team. A healthy C's team = championship. Not even the Lakeshow can content with KG, Shaq, JON, and Perk. Damn, just think if they would have had these guys last Finals.

I patiently wait for their demise. Until then I will marvel at them doing everything right and just chugging along, making boatloads of money and keeping their fans happy.

Anyway, maybe it's about time we retire this forum and include talk of the C's in the Around the NBA forum? We'll get more conversation if it's all rolled into one.

You think I like talking about the Spurs, or god forbid, praising them?!?! I hate the Spurs. They are one of my least favorite teams. Yet, I have to respect their continued greatness, as an NBA fan. Blows my mind that they haven't declined yet. It's just not fair.

I guess we could retire this forum, but I'd have to manually move every single post or they would be deleted. Maybe DeROk knows how to move them all at once? That would be a good idea then.

Love how they handled the Clips last night in heart-stomping fashion. Just messed with them till the final two minutes. Turned on the jets and ran off six-straight points off two-straight turnovers and ruined their night.

Even when the Lakers suck, they win. Remember the night when the Wolves went out there and narrowly lost? Pretty sure LA was disinterested until the fourth quarter. Just coasting. And don't forget about Andrew Bynum either.

In my best "Pitchman" voice: "For a championship team, just add Bynum! Works in minutes!"

It will be the Celtics vs. the Lakers or Spurs. The Mavs will choke in the playoffs like usual. The Jazz are good but not on a championship level. The Heat are the wildcard but regardless of whether Wade & Lebron learn how to play together, the Celtics have too much big man depth and can handle the Heat.

Well played...But apparently the Heat are good now, so you might be on to something. If they beat the Warriors tomorrow then they are contenders for sure. They really taken it to some quality opponents as of late.
