I still can't ever seem to take my eyes off of KG when he's on the basketball court. Sometimes when the C's are on D I miss a basket because I am just watching KG and not the ball.

He is wayyy more aggressive offensively than either of the past 2 years, and quite possible even his first year with Beantown. His defense is back on that 08 level, minus maybe a touch of quickness & athleticism.

Also, he is jawing more than ever. Versus the Jazz, he had a backcourt steal and layup with a minute left in the first half, and celebrated by punching himself on each side of the face (not softly) with each curled fist three times each while running back down the court screaming. That man amuses me to no end. I will be so sad the day he finally retires.

His attitude and work ethic was obviously contagious, and now guys like Big Baby have become the very best players they can be because of his example and insistence on hard work and constant focus. KG won't LET Big Baby slack off or get distracted, and that is EXACTLY the kind of tutalege Davis needs/needed.

KG, even after all these years, I still can't get enough of you. I often find myself rewinding parts of games to hear his trash talk or read his lips, or watch how he defended on a certain play or got open on a certain offensive scheme. Not because I have no life, not because I'm gay, not because I'm weird, but because I love this game and because KG is my favorite athlete of all time, of whom I appreciate to no end. Rant over, and my apologies to those who think it's over the top. I started this with just a comment in the NBA thread on a few Celtics games I watched last week, but then I got carried away & started gushing. Peacing out now.

Nice post. Howl. Isnt it weird to imagine KG was once on our team? It really wasn't all that long ago, and I think it seems longer because we remember the early 00's as KG's best years and often forget about the 3 years of post- WCF hell with KG still on the team. I still remember the week he got traded (obviously)...I got dumped by my then 2-year girlfriend out of the blue, KG got traded and the 35 W bridge collapsed... where I lived 1/4 of a mile from at the time... all that week. A day later a squirrell bit off my testicles and also gave me rabies.

JazzFan (I think?) has been posting some awesome videos of the best KG games in the forums as individual topics. Check em out Bonk they are right up your alley.

And all that remains of the KG deal is Wayne Ellington (Boston's first we got), a chunk of Martell Webster (via Gomes), and I guess you can count Telfair but he was acquired in a different roster transaction. And of course Kosta, his contract option, and 2 ultra valuable 18-20 range first rounders (Big Al), and whomever we got with Houston's second rounder in the Gerald Green trade (Paulo Prestes? 85% chance Im wrong, too lazy to look it up). Ugh, sad.

Great post Bonk, nothing gay about it at all. I couldn't agree more. Awesomeness.

And Wally's is soooo depressing about what we have left from the KG trade. Basically, nothing, from trading one of the best players ever in the NBA. :(
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Not to get off topic, but typing that last paragraph was depressing. We sold KG for cents on a dollar (still probably the best trade possible), and then sold just about everything we got for him for cents on the nickel.

Ugh.

Yea, how ironic a main bridge in Minneapolis collapses as KG leaves. Celtics fans won't really appreciate the man. Basketball is an amazing sport when you can grow up watching the every move players like KG and MJ make.

If he was playing more than what seems like 25 minutes a night, including 5 garbage time minutes, he'd be right back to 20, 12, and 5.

Bonk, are you as excited for an anticipated Miami-Boston playoff matchup as I am? Bosh against KG? HHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!! Can't wait. He is going to eat his face.

I know I am!!! STOKED.

With Perkins the Beast back healthy, Miami has no chance. KG + Perkins + Shaq + Big Baby + HARANGODY!!! = dominate Miami's crappy frontline.

It will be fantastic.

But we have the cap space, too! "Flexibility," "A Singular move." More like a singular bowel movement on the hopes of this franchise.

HELL YES Daddy!

Good sentiments, Wally World.

College Wolf, please never ever ever ever ever ever use the words Harangody & dominate in the same sentence. Erden >>>> Harangody.

Fixed Bonk.

I like Erden. By next year he might pass up Baby in the rotation...Then again, I'm not a big Baby fan.

Anyone have inside info on the Jazz? Who follows them? What's the issue? I've got a great solution for them. It includes a trade that sends them Johnny Flynn and gets us Deron Williams, I think.

Defensive issues mute Jazz

Great link, CW. HOWL. That guy's top 10 list was also a good read. I've never heard of Mr. Lowe before, but he seems to know his stuff.

The offers from GS and the Lakers were better than the shitty deal we got from the Celtics.

Anyways, I haven't played nba 2k11 in a while and I did today and KG got a 3 point boost to his rating. woot woot!

What about the offer from Chicago a year before that? Wasn't it like Deng and Tyson Chandler and then their first round pick that turned into Tyrus Thomas/LaMarcus Aldridge. I think there was another piece too... maybe Hinrich or something like that?

And remember, that was before they got big contracts so that would have been amazing.

The Chicago offer was best but it was a year earlier and we weren't ready to trade KG yet so it doesn't really count.
