Few thoughts to Barry:
1. Isn't he injured? Injured in a way that the smart Spurs decided to drop him because they thought he wouldn't make it back to 100% for the Playoffs?
2. And even if he was back to 100% before the Playoffs started, didn't the unbelievably smart Spurs create just enough space under the cap with the Kurt Thomas trade that they would be able to sign a solid veteran pickup from waivers / buyouts without hitting the lux tax? Someone like...say Brent barry?
IMO, chances Barry will in any way end up with the Celtics are below zero.
And Magloire? Sure, he was an All Star...sure, he ruled in one of my (older) NBA live games...sure, I've read many kind words over him in the past few years whenever he was changing teams...but the factor he was changing teams so often just proves to me that he' grossly overrated. Don't think he'd help the Cs much ... on the other hand, he IS of legit size and it can never hurt (you

) to throw additional six fouls on the opposing top big. And if they can't or simply don't want to sign Cassell - although I think he wouldn't need more than 2 mins to get things sorted out with Rondo - Magloire would be the pickup from the above named that made the most sense to me. Livingston anf Murray aren't worth consideration and I'm agree with CW that P.J. can't be lured out of retirement.
Still think they should have tried harder to beat the Spurs to Damon Stoudemire, though.
EDIT: Just remebered HOW MUCH I would have loved if Reggie would have decided to try a comeback with the Cs. He was for long my co-favorite player and will always be. How cool would that have been - sub out Ray Allen (deadly shooter), sub in Miller (deadly shooter). But I highly respect his decision. Only makes me love him more. There are too many greats already who have tainted their legacy with one comeback try too many...
