Given that Smith's overall season averages in minutes are very close to that expected number of 25-28 mins. per night (P.J. played only 20 last season)in which he averaged nearly 12 ppg, it is difficult to see where those 18 points are supposed to come from, especially with a lot of other scoring options around.
I totally agree with daddy, that Smith is a smart signing, but even with minute-averages in or very close to the thirties with Milwaukee, he produced only 11 ppg. in a similar situation as with the bulls (and he was a few years young back then).
I'm with you Sanyarin, I would expect Smitht to PLAY 18 MINUTES per game, not score 18 points. I'd be happy if he averaged that over the 82 game season, given his history...
