Good chance for Webber - I would do it, btw. - who surely still has
something to contribute, but I do not like where that is going.
This has the potential to develop into something very similar to a common practice in soccer: Washed up (or near to) Superstar (or near to) soccer players have grown a tendency to spend the last one or two years of the autumn of their careers in the warm Quatar, playing in front of a few hundred sheiks in some sort of \"real life video game\", paired with highly inferior native talent and without the chance to win anything significant enough that anyone would notice...but earning millions and millions of dollars no European club would even think paying them in the waning months of their careers.
I would hate to see the European Leagues become some nursing home for NBA greybeards for the to grab one last, highly overblown contract to ease their way into retirement.
These are not the days of old, you know? There where times when every coming of even a mediocre, washed up NBA-Player to Europe would have been a blessing for that team, but those days are long gone. We do have high-level competition down here now where pretty good basketball is played...maybe that is why Webber is even considering coming here on the other hand
