Great, great article here. Hard to disagree with a lot of his stuff.

http://www.knicksfanaticsblog.com/2010-articles/april/has-donnie-walshs-out-done-isiah-thomas-yet.html

Also, who's fans/team/future would be worse off next year... The Knicks without LeBron or the TWolves if we don't get a top 2 Lottery pick?
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

Knicks without LeBron. Wolves still have different fallback options, altough we'd be pretty screwed.

If Knicks don't get 'Bron... well, they will HAVE to sign someone else to appease the fanbase that has been over and over asked to wait for 2010. Say hello to the next 5 years of mediocrity with a maxed Joe Johnson surrounded by the likes of Ty Chandler and/or Richard Jefferson. -_-

Unless of course they somehow make us deal them Rubio, get Amare Stoudemire as plan B and use the remains of their cap space on Joe Johnson. But that won't happen.

I'm not too sure about that to be honest. We are terrible.

If the Knicks get two of Amare/Bosh and Joe Johnson/D-Wade that's a pretty solid team right there. They almost certainly lose David Lee, but oh well. If T-Mac comes back next year healthy and signs for the minimum, he could possibly be of help. Throw in Wilson Chandler, Gallinari, and Toney Douglas to round things out.

Tough call on who could potentially be worse off. Let's just try not to think about either scenario...

Wow props to Lives for keeping it real. The funny thing about most Knicks fans is that no matter how dumb a move Isiah Thomas or Donnie Walsh made, they always thinks it's a great move. Until about a year later when they realize that it was another horrible move and they turn on them.

If the Wolves/Clippers/Grizzlies would have made that T-Mac trade, everyone and their grandma would be taking shots at how incompetent we are. But since it's the Knicks, it was a "good" move. It's such a laughably bad trade. They're practically gift wrapping a championship for the Rockets. The league office should have vetoed it or something.

I can't believe people are still clinging to hope that Lebron is going to be on the Knicks next year. What I can't believe even more is that they put up a huge billboard of Lebron right next to Madison Square Garden. That is such a slimy move to sell season tickets. There's like a 0.00000001% of Lebron signing with the Knicks.

The Knicks are hands down the worst franchise in the NBA.

Great post, you bring up some solid points. I put a link to these comments in that article on KFB.

I certainly wouldn't put money on LeBron to the Knicks but to say it is 0% is over the top. If two things happen they have a legitimate shot.

1. Cleveland craps out in the playoffs on the back of terrible play by Mo Williams and crew.
2. New Jersey loses in the lottery and is picking out of the money (#3 or #4).

If those two things happen the Knicks might be able to make the case that they can sign LeBron + 1 All Star now and another one next year. Couple that with the spoils of instantly being the team all the free agent veterans pine for and they can turn it around quickly.

Yeah, I'd say LeBron to the Knicks is like a 20% chance right now, pending the results of the playoffs.

I don't see him going to the Nets even if they win the lottery. If he's gonna go to a crappy team and "start his career over", it will be the Knicks. The Clippers and Nets are a distant second and third, imo.

I'd say the Nets have a better chance of landing Lebron even if they aren't drooling all over him like the Knicks.

The Nets have a much brighter future than the Knicks.

Maybe. Two Max Free Agents would help for a brighter future for the Knicks though.

Also, you can tell LeBron loves the big stage, and gushes about playing at MSG. I don't see him going to the Nets at all.
