If you wanted to get reallllllly crazy, and if LeBron set this up behind the scenes with the players:

- Sign and trade Deng + assets + picks? to Toronto for Bosh

- Sign and trade Joe Johnson + assets + picks? to the Hawks for Joe Johnson

- Sign Ray Allen with MLE

Rose
Joe Johnson
LeBron
Bosh
Noah

Ray Allen
Taj Gibson
James Johnson
+ 5 more warm bodies

There, now THAT team goes 82-0
Question: "Hey Antoine Walker, why do you shoot so many 3's?"

Answer: "Because there are no 4's."

The nice thing about the Bulls is that they have cap space AND could trade Deng + assets + picks for someone in a sign and trade.

Why wouldn't the Raptors trade them Bosh? I think it would happen if LeBron wants it to.

And then sign Ray Allen for the MLE... and Bam! Best team ever.

I wonder if Ray Allen even makes that team better. Seems like a little much. You'd like him for the late game free throw shooting though.

I just read Simmon's latest on this here. His points are in agreement with what I've been saying. That's often not a good thing.

How does Ray NOT make them better? A 90% free throw shooter and deadeye three point marksmen. Can you imagine LeBron and Rose driving the lane and kicking out to a wide open Allen? And Bosh hitting Allen when double teamed as well. Hell, you can't double anyone on that Bulls team with Allen on the perimeter...

82-0

For the same reason Team USA's of 5-10 years ago weren't steam rolling the competition. Sometimes a team is better off with Tony Allen or Bruce Bowen type glue guys when they already have 3-4 All Stars. There are only so many shots to be taken.

I view Ray Allen as a veteran glue guy on that team.

You make a good point. He has basically become that on the Celtics now hasn't he. Now that he is doing less he doesn't look so beat up either.

Yeah, exactly. He would do nothing on this team except drain threes and free throws. He wouldn't even ever have to play defense because the others are so good.

And he's in great shape anyways, I think he's the Reggie Miller of this generation.

KG and Ray are the type of players that would make every team better at this point in their career. They are glue guys.

I noticed on the ticker yesterday during the Celtics/Magic game that good ole Charles Oakley said LeBron will be in Chicago or Miami. Presumably he didn't pull that out of his @ss. That says to me LeBron is in 100% win a championship mode.

HAHAHAHA I don't know why but this made me bust out laughing.

Big Howl.

Woah Ray Allen not only makes them better, he is the PERFECT guy to play SG on this team.

They'd probably lose a game here or there because of resting guys/injuries/not trying, but they'd easily win 70 games and probably more like 75.

Lebron and Wade aren't going to play together. We all saw how well AI and Melo worked together in Denver. Granted, AI is a malcontent and Lebron & Wade are good friends, but it still won't work.

Both Lebron & Wade always have the ball and their whole game is about driving to the hoop. Neither of them are great outside shooters, so it wouldn't even make sense for one of them drive and to kick out to the other guy.

I don't see how this would be a good idea or even work at all.

Exactly. That is why I had demoted the Heat to the "Other 1%" in my LeBron Lottery prediction.

The fact that it won't work well doesn't mean it won't happen. If LeBron and Dwayne think it will work then it will happen. The Heat certainly aren't going to say no.

I'd be inclined to think it'd work better than AI/Carmelo because LeBron is such a great passer and does a lot of the little things neither AI or Carmelo were doing. On top of that LeBron and Wade are just better.

I'm certainly not advocating this because it is a waste to have those guys stepping on each others toes on the same team.

After watching Vince on the bench this series I wonder if Glen Davis has been watching film of him since he was in High School. Those two handle adversity about as well as my 2 year old.

Celtics! Man, the Magic... wow. They probably won't get swept, but I don't see how the Celtics can lose this series now.

Two years ago when the Celtics won the title, they only won THREE games on the road that entire post-season. They are 5-2 so far this post-season.

Awesome.

Celtics -vs- Lakers. Bank it.

The Celtics last play of regulation was a joke. Rondo is too good of a player to have him hand the ball to Paul Pierce 6 feet behind the 3 point line for the last possession. That sucks Doc.

Oh well. Celtics will still advance. Hopefully they can win the next one so that they can get rested up a bit before the Finals.
