After watching Mo Williams and Jamison attempt to destroy LeBron's legacy in the 2nd half I thought I'd check on Peja's situation.

I already knew the Hornets had it bad but I just had to laugh at this.

Peja - 14.3
Posey - 6.4
Mo Pete-6.2
Songalia-4.8

31.7M of nothing.

Nothing is more damning to a team than having a player who is good in the regular season and @#$# in the playoffs.

Yea the Hornets are in a tough spot. They're going to have to give up either Chris Paul or Collison (it's going to be Collison cuz CP3 sure as hell ain't going anywhere) and try and get rid of some of those bad contracts. But even then, they'll still suck for at least a couple more years.

For what it's worth, I thought the Posey signing was good even though he was overpaid from the get go. He just got done being vital to the Celtics title and the Hornets were looking really promising as they'd just beaten the Mavs in the playoffs before losing to the Spurs? if I remember correctly.

Tyson Chandler's injuries helped derail the whole thing as well. Nobody could have predicted that Peja would decline that quickly. His back injuries did him in for good.

Mo Pete has always sucked. I can't believe they made that deal w/ us for Songaila. Hahaha was a heist. Way to go Kahn!

They're in a better place than the Cavs are though. The Cavs have literally no one that I'd even want on my team besides Varejao and maybe Delonte West and Jamario Moon.

David West by himself beats out those guys. Then they have young guys like Collison and Thornton as well. Now that they know that they need to start over and young and get rid of their albatross contracts in conjunction with having a new owner with deep pockets who's from NO, I think they'll be fine.
