Although I had seen the score for Sunday's Lakers game and that Gasol had scored 28, I didn't realize until just a bit ago that he had emulated Barnes' game from Sat. 10 for 10 from the field and 8 for 8 from the free throw line! Wow!

Now Shannon Brown is doing his best to follow suit tonight against the Bulls. Lakers have a 2-pt halftime lead despite only shooting 38%, but they are at 43% from outside the arc. Brown has 18 pts and is 6 for 9. At one point, he had made 5 of 6!

The Lakers put up 8 unanswered to start the second half, but the Bulls have come back to only trail by one at the end of the third! Rose is going off!

I like Shannon Brown. He's good. Underrated too. Should be a keeper for LA for years to come.

I was watching on FSNW. Because of the time difference, watching sports here can be kind of different, i.e., since Daylight Savings Time started a couple of weeks ago, NFL games don't start until 8AM instead of 7AM! Monday Night Football is more like Monday Lunch Football. Right now, it starts at 3:20PM.

Probably needless to say, but you can be pretty well inebriated by about 10-11AM watching football. We head into one of our favorite bars for breakfast and Bloody Marys (in my case, Bloody Marias as I drink tequila in mine).

Makes for a good Sunday afternoon nap. Usually during the so-called Sunday Night Football game.

As you might guess, there is a pretty strong West Coast influence here - people moving from there or just vacationing here - so there are a great many Dodgers', Angels', Lakers', Raiders', Seahawks', Chargers' fans and so on.

Gasol is trash. Let's see him do that against the stifling defense of Kevin "TSA" Love.
